Actually I saw something that said Hawthorn topped the list with well more than 11 (I think 21, and whoever was number two had 19), and we came in mid-table with 9 positives, along with Carlton, Melbourne and one other.
Gold Coast were near the bottom with 6, WCE had 4 (which shocked me) and the Roos were last with 3.

Clubs should be told who offenders are so they can knock some sense into them.

I'm so sick of hearing this uninformed crap from the average supporter.
You don't know what drugs the players are taking, you don't know why. If you think taking a hard line approach will make a difference you are sadly deluded, it will just push players to get sneakier and take bigger risks.
If the players are being tested for recreational drug use it should be for welfare issues only and nobody but their designated physician should be advised of this.

Yes the poor downtrodden players. If they want to engage in criminal activity (let's call it 'recreational' behaviour) and buy substances off criminals to line their pockets and further the shady elements of society, we should all hold hands and feel sorry for them.Armoooo wrote:I'm so sick of hearing this uninformed crap from the average supporter.

I'm sick of hearing about these players who have depression - dig a little deeper and you'll find 90% of them engaged HEAVILY in drugs prior to stuffing their brains up. They know the risks by taking drugs. 90% of them it's NOT a welfare issue, it's young blokes racking lines and popping pills and thinking they are Hollywood superstars - and getting paid heavily to do it.
If it was some bloke on the street cnr who was burgling houses to support his habit, we'd all think he was scum of the earth. When it's our heroes running around on the weekend it's a welfare issue and it's all recreational. I've got a question. When does recreational become criminal???

Recreational drugs become criminal when the drugs abused are illegal,, or illegally obtained.

I dont believe that the offending players should be hung, drawn and quartered, well not this week anyway. But I strongly believe that the relevant clubs should be informed, even if only so they can keep an eye on the players welfare and well being. I dont believe the public have any right to know.

Recreational? What a laugh. I'm sure every junkie in the world refers to their drug of choice as "recreational".
