Good stuff BigMart.
As you know I am a Hickey fan.
He and Stanley would have been an awesome combo.

He's been better on the ground than half the midfielders out there. He seems to love the responsibility of rucking all day and being able to go everywhere and anywhere.

Re: Hickey BOG at Half Time
Well I am a fan and he would have been my number 1 ruckman for the club last year.
Great game so far today.

Good on you marto...
While we're doing repenting, I'll shout out to Ross & Weller... Great halves... Really think they need to cement their place in the side this year in their 5th & 6th seasons in the system. Brilliant starts.

Re: Hickey BOG at Half Time
He didn't play a game this good in the VFL last year... In fact he was disappointing, and Holmes was preferred as their #1 ruckman.
But he's enjoyed lobbe's lack of mobility and jump. He has run rings around him.
If he can play half as good as that, he is our man.

Ross and Acres
Whilst slow are good footballers
It's whether their lack of speed stops them from being good in the AFL

I don't think Acres is slow, has the long loping stride which makes him appears slow.
He also has the knack of playing with a Pendlebury style watch.
He'll be a very good player
Re: Hickey BOG at Half Time
He always kicks under pressure... Because he is slow from hand to foot...
Blake runs ok in open space... Is slow around the contest

Why? When a number of Saints dropped off in the last quarter Hickey was one of the few that played well.

Have been on Hickey since day one, and today he showed why. Has great agility and reflexes for his size, and moves really well for a big man. Will only get better.......

Re: Hickey BOG at Half Time
Outstanding game by big Tom and never stopped in the last quarter.
Great to see Seb Ross have a top game; he was set to do this last year but that serious hammy late in the fist half of the fist NAB Cup match (he was BOG at the time) robbed him last year.
Took great heart from Acres performance also.

Re: Hickey BOG at Half Time
He did kinda kill it for three quarters.
His work when the ball hit the deck was quite impressive. Great second efforts... Repeatedly.
