Re: Game Day: Power V Saints
I want to see the boys give it a red hot go, and minimise the skill errors.
Need a big season from Bruce. He tailed off a fair bit towards the end of last season.

Man-Bun showed great skills early on. He didn't "tail-off", I think other coaches worked out how to negate him. It's what backline coaches do. Our poor delivery into F50 doesn't help, either. We only have Roo as another marking target; Membrey didn't show much, so highly skilled defenders could easily defend.Milne wrote:I want to see the boys give it a red hot go, and minimise the skill errors.

A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

I agree that other teams learned to negate him, and about the poor delivery. Stats wise he definitely tailed off though (and was often scoring goals in junk time). We need a big season from him this year if we are to hurt other teams on the scoreboard.WellardSaint wrote:Man-Bun showed great skills early on. Re: Game Day: Power V Saints
I slightly more excited today than I have been all week.
That's partially because both the Pies and Essendon got thumped last night, which together with Carton losing has made the start to 2016 an excellent one.
.....and if we do get trounced today, I could start packing for Hawaii which is happening on Tuesday!

Re: Game Day: Power V Saints
We cant rely on one player. Always been the problem with the Saints. Need to get over the "messiah" mentality and become a champion team. Richo will get us there. Bruce is only a link in a chain. He gets plenty of good delivery to his advantage, he'll kick 50+ goals. Simple really.Milne wrote:I agree that other teams learned to negate him, and about the poor delivery. Re: Game Day: Power V Saints
Should we be showing so much of our inner match tactics the way they showed with Joey? I worry we are too media friendly these days. We should play some cards close to our chest.

Any streams getting about for today's match?!
