How is that relevant? It is monsoon season and the sun is also sitting just north of the tropic of Capricorn.
Same as every March . They dont get Monsoon seasons in Wang but they do up in Mackay. Why schedule a game in Monsoon season?

Good turn up at training. (ended up being held inside at Mackay Basketball Stadium)...just fantastic to get up close to the boys..they're a very impressive group of young men and just wonderfully kind and accommodating towards all the fans present...

They did beach training. They were in the water half the time and in the hinterland (cooler) the other times.
Water temp would have been a perfect 22 degrees.

No paddy and no Nic. Brucey needs some support. Wonder if Tommy Lee will try and rock the forward line again. Hickey could well play forward to keep trying that experiment going and let Holmes have a good go at the ruck. Membrey also has some room to strut his stuff. I'd love to see us get another young tall forward for depth.

Don't know whether the reported conditions will suit the very tall players but it would be good if Hickey can ruck the game out and Lee can play the chb role. I think most of our goals will come from the crumbers and mid-sized forwards this afternoon.
Not worried that Paddy and Roo aren't playing today. Look forward to being able to go and see the players live next week against the Dees. Hopefully Paddy is back for that and Goddard plays. Be good to get a look at Gresham too.

they are 1 hour behind us- hence game time at Mackay is 3.40
game time on Fox into Victoria is 4.40
