NAB Cup Discussion

The cheating w#@'S seem to have improved somewhat..they move the ball really well and fast. Are they setting the supporters up for another fall ? are the Hawks having a holiday down south ?

The skill of the Hawks overcame the enthusiasm of the Blues after quarter time.

Not a bad effort from the Hawks considering they had six less weeks preseason than their opponents.

Hawthorn could make it four in a row, but not five IMHO.

Age will catch up.

They certainly won't make it six in a row.

I only caught 5 mins of the Freo v Tigers game - Did anyone know how Lachie Weller went today?

I saw one Weller worm burner 30 to 40m pass that hit Pavlich on the tit which he converted for a goal - was a beautiful pass

Not much use in us taking too much notice of Lauchie Weller.......... he signed on for an extra two (may have been three) years with Freo this week!!

I also notice Tucker played well. Hes probably the guy we would have got after Gresham.

We play Brisbane up there this weekend. Does anyone know when the match is, and if it is televised?

Every nab match is telecast live, in full HD, no ads siren to siren.

Is the club doing anything this weekend since we aren't playing? Training session or something? I may be visiting Melbourne and it'd be nice to go check out the boys.

Carlton awful but in fairness they were missing Murphy, Gibbs, Cripps, Simpson, Walker, Thomas & Kreuzer. That is basically their 7 best players.

Bombers almost at full strength - missing only the likes of Polkinghorne, Coon Dog, Stokes, Kelly.

Well yes. Correction - Bombers 2016 available list full strength  .

Obviously they are nowhere near true full strength missing the likes of Hurley, Heppell, Hooker and Hibberd (the Killer Hs).

So Carlton should still be feeling embarrassed

These games mean nothing but I don't think Essendon will be pushovers against the lowly clubs.

I sort of hope the Bummers win all three nab games so we can hear gooses in the media like Andy Maher talk them up and say that maybe they'll do alright this year and won't be bottom.

Kingsley on 5AA-Freeman not likely to be ready for selection until 'round 5 or 6'. McCartin touch and go for NAB 3 and raised doubts he will have done enough to be selected for round 1. Gresham a beauty who has embarrassed a few at training-won't play this week and will play NAB 3 and a chance for round 1
