Does anyone know if it will be the firsts versus the seconds or do they split them evenly?

Re Bluthy's question, they generally start fairly even and make changes during the course of the game, so be on your toes.

Plugs, did I ever say I was from Sandy?ripplug66 wrote:saintspremiers wrote:Sadly you can't. For those that are residents of Bayside Council, we get a sticker that gives us free beach parking (metered parking for the tourists costs about $5/hour capped at $12 a day I think)
There is also free on street parking but that may require a 5 minute walk to the ground. Be early as the weather should be lovely and remember to get a hot dog with cheese from the canteen. Also, for Sandy games you can go upstairs to the clubhouse (free and available to anyone) and get beer in a glass on tap and watch the game behind the glass if you wish. Not sure if it's any different given it's an AFL event this week though.
A clubhouse? Are we playing at Sandy Golf club? Tourists? I knew Sandy people were up themselves but that takes the cake.
Briiiighton now thank you very much. But I can venture to Sandy.....

Traffic warning- Centre Road Rail crossing in Bentleigh is closed and yes you'd be right in thinking but that's miles from Sandrngham, but if the traffic chaos from the North Rd/McKinnon Rd closures are anything to go by, Neapean Highway and all the parallel roads were chaos.

To avoid traffic, one just needs to sail one's yacht to the Sandy Yacht club, then just a quick walk up the hill to the oval

Is anyone clever enough to post a map of where free parking is that is close by? I'll be driving & plan on getting there around 4.

Does anyone know if they are charging for entry?
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

Whatever the road that is the continuation of Belgrave rd, Murrumbeena rd, East Boundary rd, Rowans Rd and Highett rd is called has free parking. Its the road you can see the ground from. Is there a road in Melbourne with more name changes? All roads off that also have free parking. The only time you pay is the car parks on the beach.

Re: Who is going to Friday Intra Club?
If I can remember correctly from my teenage years, didn't the continuation street from Highett Road become Bridge Street? Bridge St then ended at Beach Rd and the Sandy Oval was across Beach Road.snoopygirl wrote:Thanks Plug. Used to ride our bikes from Chadstone Shopping Centre eventually following all the roads ripplugg mentions - always a harder ride going home, as invariably one would be riding into the wind.

Re: Who is going to Friday Intra Club?
Udated traffic alert, avoid driving in general vicinity of Bentleigh, there is a gas leak at he train works, so trains suspended between Caulfield & Moorabbin and I'm certain road closures will be pushed back and more traffic on roads to and from or through Nepean Highway.

It is usually Possibles v Probables.
Alan Jeans liked Catholics versus Protestants
Although that is very old fashioned.
The modern day version would be Hipsters v Bogans.
Bogans
Montagna
Armitage
Fisher
Geary
Roberton
Weller
Delaney
Longer
Webster
Ross
Dunstan
Wright
Lonie
Membrey
Acres
Savage
Hipsters
Riewoldt
Dempster
Newnes
Steven
Gilbert
Bruce
Hickey
Sinclair
Billings
