So speaking to someone who's spent a fair bit of time with DM on a personal level apparently,one on one, he's a great bloke with a heart of gold. Definitely a confident young man but also not the sharpest tool in the shed. Problems are more to do with his old man's circle of friends that is still a big influence on him today. He's a novelty act amongst some of the shadier circles he's involved with and feels as if he has to live up to a 'certain reputation'. To me it sounds as if his circle have been watching too many episodes of 'Sons of Anarchy' and belive a lot of their own 'hype'. It would be shame to lose someone of his talents to thos but unfortunately I think DM is more worried about his 'reputation' than his AFL career. Wonder how many of his 'mates' would hang around if his career came to an abrupt holt.
