“I wouldn’t be surprised at all if a club offered him a nine or 10 year deal,” Pelchen told Fox Footy.
“800,000 dollars per year on average for this long sounds excessive for someone who has played less than 50 games. But the risk is worth taking with Jaeger because he really is the ultimate all-round package on and off the field.
“It will come down to which club suits Jaeger best. Every club will want him.”
“Does he want to work with a club on the way up? Knowing what I know about him, he has never spoken down about the Suns and he would want to be part of building something,” he said.
“He ticks all the boxes and is a quality young man. Clubs such as Melbourne,
St Kilda and to a lesser extent Carlton will appeal to him.”
“He is better than a first-round draft selection,” he said.
“The uncertainty of the draft means you will probably need at least two first rounders for the Suns to even contemplate a trade.”
