No. Was in 1990''s and the player wasn't even a forward as far as I can remember. Game was against the Cats. The player kicked 5 goals in this game.bergsone wrote:8856brother wrote:Think he may have worn number 60 at some stage as well.mambo2706 wrote:8856brother wrote:Robert Mace.

Devo. Or was that the reserves? Lets face it we can all find answers on AFL tables. Lets try not to use that.

I remember a game where Con Gorozidis and John Bennett kicked a heap of behinds.

Daniel Healy? I certainly don't remember the game you're referring to though, so probably not him. Jamie Shanahan? (no chance)8856brother wrote:No. Was in 1990''s and the player wasn't even a forward as far as I can remember. Game was against the Cats. The player kicked 5 goals in this game.

None of the above. The player debuted for us as a 17 year old.bergholt wrote:Daniel Healy? I certainly don't remember the game you're referring to though, so probably not him. Jamie Shanahan? Re: The ULTIMATE trivia post!!!
Rod Owen?
Hmm perhaps not as he was a forward.
The behinds tally has to be more than 7 as that was Plugger's highest that he kicked in a game

I remember Gordon Fode kicking a bag of points out at Waverley. From memeory 7 or 8. I know Plugger kicked 7 so I'll say 8 unless they share the record. Can't remember if he debuted as a 17 year old though. I do remember he filled in at full forward for a few games.

Gordon Fode kicked 5 goals 9 against the Cats at Waverly in 93. Most behinds ever by a Saint in a game. Hard to believe really.
Over to you Mambo.

Thanks brother
In the late 1980's the Saints had two players on their list with the exact same given and surnames. Their middle name even had the same initial. One was recruited from Fitzroy. The other was eventually traded to Fitzroy. What was their name?

Don't know, but reckon it would be someone obscure with a common surname- did we have two Smith's or two Brown's at the same time?

Re: The ULTIMATE trivia post!!!
Wasn't a Smith or a Brown. One was at the club for ten years and more people would probably know him by his nickname than his real given name. The other only played one game for us. Hopefully this question doesn't drive people MAD.True Believer wrote:mambo2706 wrote:Thanks brother

Re: The ULTIMATE trivia post!!!
Another question to keep the game moving. Plugger kicked 100+ goals in a season 3 times for the Saints. Every time he kicked his 100th goal was from a set shot. Name the players who passed the ball to him on each occasion as well as the year.

The Jack Oatey medal is awarded for the best player in the SANFL Grand Final.
Nathan Buckley won it in 1992.
Who were the next three players to win it. They all went on to play for St Kilda.

Re: The ULTIMATE trivia post!!!
I'm 99% sure Steven Sziller was one. I think one of the twins was another but not sure if it was Weaklin or Wanklin. Have no idea who the third player is. Thought maybe Daniel Healy but I think he played in the late 90s so that time frame doesn't work.

Re: The ULTIMATE trivia post!!!
Between mambo and six o'clock we have it.
Steven Sziller
Daryl Wakelin
Anthony Darcy.
The Gowans boys both won it but that was a few years later.
One of you guys should go next.
