We need to also add some pace to the flanks. We tend to look stagnant when we go forward. Exceptions to this were the games against the Bulldogs, Essendon and the final 40 seconds against Melbourne the first time. So much better when we play attacking footy.

Spot on TTT. How much better did we look last season because Armo just improved and became more consistent! If Steven can do the same in 2016 we are going to be way more resilient. To the top wrote:Jack Steven is 112 games into his league career.
Could you list the number of games played by those you have listed?
Then draw a comparative.
I would also expect that Steven will still significantly improve once the depth around him matures - and, hopefully, we will see that in 2016.

Stats aren't always correct. I would rather have Bruce, Steven, Armo, Joey or Riewoldt than anyone on Carlton or Brisbanes list.

Ablett, Fyfe, Pendlebury, Mitchell, Dangerfield, Kennedy, Priddis...
They're elite.
I like Jack...I really do but he is not in their class.
He is good but he has too many deficiencies in his game to be seriously considered elite.
Danger has as many deficiencies as Jack, Kennedy does too as far as messy disposal etc. We have a funny way of down playing our own while seeing others champs through rose coloured glasses. Fyfe sprays the ball kicking too...the common theme for nearly all the guys on the list is they tend to make the play and back themselves in. Dane swan has been an elite player for a long tome and plays a very similar game to Steven.
Jack Steven was the top fantasy footy scorer for the whole AFL comp at the end of round 23. That means on all his data that they use he was the most effective player in the whole comp. CD obviously have a different set of markers but either way he is an outstanding player.
