The Sandringham Football Club is thrilled to announce the signing of George Burbury for the 2016 VFL season.

Burbury is a quality forward who can also push up onto a wing or into the midfield, 186cm forward showed promise at Geelong (AFL), but was limited to just seven games due to injury in his four years at the Cats after being taken with pick 40 in the 2010 rookie draft.

popular Admin at Sandringham Lucas Blatman is moving on to local Govvernment- .

I always though Burbury was a good footballer who never got much opportunity at Geelong. If he can have s good year as Sandy's Geelong recruit last year he will be good value.

Have lost their best 2 players from last year. Will be an interesting year for the Zebs. Lots of young Saints running around.

Burbury seems a good get but doesnt come close making up for the outs.

Losing CJ, Cockie and MItch Brown - arguably their three best players is a big blow.

On the upside with regulars like Delaney, Payne, Lee, Curren, Saunders, Membrey, Minch, OKearney, Templeton, Coughlan, Rice, B White, Murdoch, Wright, Pierce, Shenton, Holmes etc once I again expect them to be more than competitive and a top 4 side.

There was talk he would return to the WAFL but Trent Dennis-Lane has re-signed at Sandringham. Classy Myke Cook has also put pen to paper.

Cant seem to find any other news for Sandy...

So far to my knowledge only picked up Burbury. lost Jones,Brown,Cockie, (plus the saints delistees), but with the 3 main Sandrigham listed players gone, surely Sandy are picking up some more players? IF there is more does anyone know?

team supported the Saints Intra club last weekend

then went to the extreme this weekend

sandyzebs; The Zebras were pushed to their absolute limits this weekend at HMAS Cerberus Navy base in Crib Point, with wake up calls at 1am, 5am and continuous training from Friday - Sunday. From all reports, the boys had an incredible experience - and most are now sleeping #gozebs #royalaustraliannavy #vfl
