Parsons still available. Round 2
If at first you don't succeed, sky diving is not for you.
Re: Rookie Draft
"defender/midfielder" - another half-back. Excellent, just what we need, we only had 25 of them.amusingname wrote:Nick O'Kearney - Calder Cannons

So the midfielder part means jack? Champion Data rated him one of the better ones left the other day.

Played VFL footy for Footscray this year:

And TAC Cup for the Bushies:
http://www.foxsportspulse.com/team_info ... pID=339768
Looks like no goals in either comp so does that mean he's not a tall forward any more?

Murray Bushranger who came 4th in best and fairest. Great mark and a long kick.

Profile on O'Kearney from bound for glory:
http://www.boundforglorynews.com.au/201 ... -okearney/
Played at a lot at Calder with Gresham, which seems to be a common occurrence recently (Billings/Sinclair, McCartin/Goddard). had a bit of a so-so year after being highly rated beforehand, still made u/18 all-Australian though.

Re: Rookie Draft
His numbers for the past season read more like a tall/intercept defender, plenty of marks, no goals, disposals in the 10 to 25 range per match.bergholt wrote:Played VFL footy for Footscray this year:

Good write up on O'Kearney on Bound for Glory. Sounds like he will be a good pick up.-

Re: Rookie Draft
Coughlan sounds like a Sam Fisher type. Coming from a long way back so if he turns out half as good we'll be doing well.

Re: Rookie Draft
Pleased with Nick O'Kearney (mid) and Nick Coughlan (mid/fwd/def)
Both highly rated in a couple of the better phantom drafts on BF

Re: Rookie Draft
Still sad to see Faz go; he has been a fantastic servant of our club. Good luck to him with Dal at North.
But on the flip side that Kearney looks like a gun. Happy happy happy.
