Roo and Joey uninjured in IR rubbish
The stupid gaylick rubbish game is done and dusted and the boys can hit an Irish pub now.
Fletcher missed the opportunity to deck some of those Irish players or the dunce umpire. Very disappointing.
And Australia lost by 4 points if anyone cares.

i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

Nice. My point is some like it and watch it. If you don't like it then just comment on our players and not the game. Why do you keep saying that last line? Hoping the mods will ban me again? Cant handle that I think you are a whinger? I'm glad our players didn't get injured and I hope those who like the game enjoyed it. We should catch up at the footy. I hear you are a delight to sit with. We can have a beer also. I will buy.
Re: Roo and Joey uninjured in IR rubbish
Watched it this morning - exciting at the end. It's the amazing thing about sport. One minute you sitting there cynically thinking its a weird mish-mash that just doesn't work. The next you are jumping out of your seat screaming "Fleeetch!!" when he pulls off an amazing save. Glad Rooey and Joey were rewarded with a playing holiday. That Aiden O'Shea could be an AFL player - big, tough and skillful with huge heart.

Re: Roo and Joey uninjured in IR rubbish
Well the players don't obviously think it's rubbish.
Our Roo is a first class act.
Don't watch but wondered why a team of full time professionals can't beat the part timers in the hybrid game?
Is it the ball?

Yep. Its the only way to make it close. If we played with our ball we would every game by 100 points.

Re: Roo and Joey uninjured in IR rubbish
Switched on at halftime, we were 20 points down, and didn't bother to watch the second half.
Find it boring but the players like it and they get to play with players from other clubs. Difficult when you dont play state or international football.

Re: Roo and Joey uninjured in IR rubbish
well it was worth it for one International Saints Fan
........At the start of the tour an older gentleman walks up to me and asks if I'm from Melbourne because of my saints hat. I explain how I'm a diehard saints fan from Sweden, play for @hbgsaints and he counters by saying that he's Nick's dad Joe. About an hour later during the tour, Joe taps my shoulder. There he was with his son, the star himself that made me fly all the way to Ireland just to catch him play live . I still can't believe it . After a short talk with him and several photos with him & teammate/star Leigh "Joey" Montagna it's time to say goodbye. They leave for their hotel to mentally prepare for their game and I float away starstruck by what just happened. Just before we leave, Nick shoots me "see you tonight Jacob" and then it was over. Re: Roo and Joey uninjured in IR rubbish
I enjoyed the match up until the point the umpires stopped play a couple of times in the 4th quarter and didn't call time off. They went to the 3rd umpire they lost about 1:20. That made it look pretty poor to me... but then again got to expect that with a mickey mouse match. Glad I didn't bet on it.
And it was a shame there wasn't another dog on the field. Anyone who wants a laugh, e njoy!

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Nick was second ( unfortunately to harry taylor) in the award for the Aussies

and he and Joey were quite active and involved.

I would like to know why they NEVER play it with out ball- a distinct advantage to them

The champ dragged the Aussies back into the game during the third quarter with two overs. In a game not suited to big men, Riewoldt dominated close to goal and hauled in a couple of strong grabs.

Re: Roo and Joey uninjured in IR rubbish
Because we can at least try and play the game with a round ball while they would have no idea with an oval ball.saintbrat wrote:Nick was second ( unfortunately to harry taylor) in the award for the Aussies

Umpires still stitching Roo up all the way over in Ireland. Clear mark not paid to him directly in front.
