Re: Carlisle "scandal"
How to handle this...
1. Try to reverse trade.
Absolute disgrace his manager and bombers have held back on his issues.
The AFL should have a clause its a contract ffs! He is contracted until 31st oct. threaten lawyers threaten everything!
2. If that cant be done work with carlisle. We have the best captain leader of all time. We take him in and help him. He is 199cm key defender who marks everything, takes the ball low VERY HARD TO FIND. Critical to us getting a flag.
This BS about not letting him in?? Get ya hand off it. A lot of players in the afl do drugs in off season. Shocked? Dont be.
Carlisle clearly is a little bit moronic but thats ok hes a footballer not a bloody doctor or ceo.
He will get the love from the saints and pay us back with a flag.

Re: Carlisle "scandal"
Carlisle's manager has had the opportunity to come out and say that the video is a stitch-up. That he hasn't (that I am aware of) is a cause for concern. Would also have to think that his manager is going to be in very hot water if what ACA said was correct and that he was offered the chance to comment prior to the "story" being aired.

The Age are not reporting it, HS have it as a small ACA said this.

And that first mate could've been one of very many.
As I posted in the buddy thread, under the parameters you can be deemed to have a mental disorder in relation to drug abuse merely because you are doing something that has harmful consequences, rather than having to be a full-blown addict. But that only helps if you claim a mental disorder before the media run with drug taking story.

Thank god they have something to take the spotlight off hawks premiership rapist and pies surgery on another clubs player. The afl is saved. The media has an embarrassing wet patch. Still need Mitchell and Hinch to tell us how outrageous it all is, and how none of this would have happened if the St Kilda football ...

Hawks love affair is all in the breeding | VIDEO
By SARAH DEAN Sept. 27, 2013, 9:26 a.m.
DIEHARD Hawthorn fan Alicia Muling admits her life-long love affair with the Hawks happened by chance.
The WIN television news reporter said her grandfather had been a Collingwood supporter up until the time his best friend, John Kennedy Senior, was recruited to Hawthorn.
“Thank goodness he changed, I might have been a Collingwood supporter,” she said.
Ms Muling was born in a premiership year, 1989, and said throughout her life her side has been a “powerhouse”.
“I just can’t think of myself in any other way,” she said.
But Ms Muling said in the beginning it was not like she had a choice.
“If we weren’t Hawthorn supporters, my two brothers, my sister and I would have been out on the street,” she said.
Her family have secured grand final tickets and hope they won’t see a repeat of last year when they lost to Sydney by a slim margin.
“I was there when the final goal was kicked and I had to run out in the dying minutes because I couldn’t bear to hear the siren, it was too painful,” Ms Muling said.
“My boyfriend was there and he is a Sydney supporter.

Re: Carlisle "scandal"
It is of course very suspicious that this matter has surfaced on the day the player was (eventually) traded from Essendon FC to St Kilda FC - noting the player has said what he has said about Essendon FC whilst in their employ.
Shades of Peter Slipper resigning from the Liberal Party - and the response of the Liberal Party, with all charges now quashed and all false allegations seen for what they are worth!
So who provided this "footage"?
Is this "pay back" for the comments on Essendon FC and his leaving Essendon FC (and what more may he say re Essendon FC and its activities now he is no longer an employee of Essendon FC? How worried are Essendon FC about that prospect in the current climate they find themselves - still - in?).
The culture of Essendon FC is not only identified by their injection programme and the subsequent cover up but also by the lengths they have gone to to in the media, within the AFL and in the Courts to escape sanction - and, having muddied the waters as they have and obtained the outcomes they have domestically, they now find themselves, very correctly, before an International Tribunal, where, thru their media contacts, they attempt to denigrate that authority also saying the prosecutors are "nervous and uncertain".
The President of Essendon FC is a very influential person across the upper echelons of business and with the current federal government - and it could be presented that he is of that demographic which considers itself of such importance that they are above the law as it applies to citizens.
You "tangle" with this demographic at your peril - because they have the resources, including in the media, to destroy you.
So is Carlisle in their sights, having said what he has said about Essendon FC and now no longer being an employee of Essendon FC so able to elaborate?
These are some of the sinister undertones which exist within the "halls of power", being business and their government, socialising and scheming at their exclusive Clubs.
Bear in mind that neither Lovett or Milne have ever been convicted of any offence - despite allegations.
Slipper has had all convictions quashed - and other accusations seen as false.
So you have to be very careful.
We have not heard of any response from Carlisle as yet as I am aware.
What we have is reporting within certain elements (only it appears) of the media setting off the responses including on this site, which responses are self fulfilling - and, not being familiar with those elements of the media who are "reporting" on this seeking ratings, questions are raised as to their position including their contribution to, and relevance to society and where I would put they have none - hence, as an individual, I do not view their presentations and, further, do not associate with anyone who does.
So there is their reputation, at least in the view of the demographic associate with - but they are the media so they have the last word regardless.
Best therefore to ignore.
At this stage we have a "Kangaroo Court", knowing that Carlisle has exited from an employer which is under significant pressure and is vunerable to any prospective "whistle blower".
So best Essendon FC get in first?
That is the way of this demographic.

Re: Carlisle "scandal"
The manager knew of it on Tuesday according to ACA.Mr Magic wrote:I haven't seen the video, so I don't know if it's real or not.
But let's assume it is real.
A number of questions arise for me :-
When did this take place?
Who was it sent to?
Who knew of its existence?
When did the manager know of this?
When did Essendon know of this?
When did St Kilda know of this?
When did Current Affair know of this?
Why did Current Affair choose to air it last night?
At the very least there appears to be an attempt to 'embarrass' Carlisle/St Kilda by airing it AFTER THE TRADE TOOK PLACE and not before.
Why?
What is the rationale behind that decision?
Is it simply a legal concern by Current Affair that they may be liable for damages if the airing of the story resulted in the withdrawal of our offer to Carlisle and thereby causing him to lose money?

So the Hawks probably weren't in the market for him at all and the dildo was a lying prick when he said that he thought Jake was going to be a Hawk up until Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.. Looks like they really did shaft us.

Things needed to be done now:
(1) Behind the scenes and not in the public domain - take legal action (if appropriate) against his manager
(2) Sure up sponorship/potential sponsors by being proactive and getting on the phones/making a few visits. Nothing replaces that personal touch to keep our image clean.

9.33AM: JAKE CARLISLE STATEMENT
After footage of Jake Carlisle was shown on 'A Current Affair' he has just issued this statement.
I have made a very poor decision and let people down and for that I am embarrassed and truly sorry. First, I would like to apologise to allSt Kilda members, supporters and staff, AFL fans as well as my new teammates.
I am aware of footage being aired of me last night and Iwant to be upfront and say that I made a mistake.
The video casts me in a very poor light and reveals clearly inappropriate behaviour which I regret but am accountable for.
I know that in a few weeks’ time when I join St Kilda I’m going to be expected to be open and honest with my new club so want to start byconfirming my error of judgment right now.
St Kilda have shown great confidence in me and when I startwith them I will need to earn their respect and win back the confidence of theplaying group and broader Saints community.
I will learn from my mistake and when I return to AustraliaI will commit to any Club or AFL requirements or educational programs.
Again,I apologise for my behaviour and stress that when I join my new Club, I will do everything I can to live up to the standards and values they are building at StKilda.
Pretty nothing statement tbh. More or less confirms it was him in the video though.
