Not sure your runs on your board make a dent in Jaxsons....I'm goin with Jaxons on this plugs...just sayingripplug66 wrote:So he got 3 games this year but wont get a look in next year? I'm not sure about that. My daughter is friends of Mav's girlfriend and she said he is happy at Freo and they are very happy with him. maybe she made it up but I will trust her on this.jaxons wrote:
He will not get a look in next year at Freo, as Ross doesn't play kids and there are 7-8 mids with bigger bodies in front of him and he wants to play with Saints.
If not next year will be the following year.

Jaxon's theory sounds the more plausible of these 2 opinions. Time will tell. The Recruit wrote:Not sure your runs on your board make a dent in Jaxsons....I'm goin with Jaxsons on this plugs...just sayingripplug66 wrote:So he got 3 games this year but wont get a look in next year? The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Geez I hope not. I certainly hope we finish higher up the ladder next year but if we stay the same then we are still giving up pick 5 - only giving it to them next year. NO LOW PICKS FOR CARLISLE PLEASE!!Rocket wrote:So we give 5 to Freo in return for Weller and their 2016 first rounder.
We give Essendon 23 and 2016 first rounder for Carlisle.

Why wouldn't we go for the bigger bodied mids then. Why are we going for the skinny short arse kids all the frickin time?Wayne42 wrote:Jaxon's theory sounds the more plausible of these 2 opinions. Trade Wrap: Dockers won't trade players to land McCarthy, plus more on Yarran and Aish
It was suggested at the weekend that Fremantle could attempt to trade a player to a third club and then on-trade that pick to the Giants as part of the McCarthy deal, but sources also dismissed that option.
Midfielders Lachie Weller and Michael Barlow were floated as options in this scenario over the weekend, but AFL.com.au understands neither would be traded, with Weller rated particularly highly by the club.

Freo are moronic if they dont land McCarthy. Would be an epic fail.Playon wrote:Trade Wrap: Dockers won't trade players to land McCarthy, plus more on Yarran and Aish

Well their strategy is to wait and hope they change their minds. I dont think its going to work.
If were keen on Weller, theres always next year.

He has 2 years to go in his contract. If GWS say no way then its no way no matter what club chases him. Its not like he has one year left. He has done 33% of his contract.
Re: 2015 - Draft & Trade Thread
And what other things have I said that have been right or wrong? Funny that the last thing out of this is Freo wont be trading players to land McCarthy. Jaxons like people on BF have contacts no doubt. To think they are involved in trades and then come on here and tell people makes no sense at all considering the lengths clubs go to to keep things secret. I believe most of what they say has already been said or is common sense or as I said they do hear things. Lets face it their therioes chance all the time so you will find something they has said will be right eventually. I said Freeman for a second rounder. No inside knowledge just complete common sense based on being a pick 10 previously. If you don't want to believe me then fine. No skin off my nose even though its big enough to lose some skin. The Recruit wrote:Not sure your runs on your board make a dent in Jaxsons....I'm goin with Jaxons on this plugs...just sayingripplug66 wrote:So he got 3 games this year but wont get a look in next year? AFL trade period 2015: Sydney Swans step into Jake Carlisle trade talks
Sydney's first-round pick has become the latest bargaining chip in negotiations between Essendon and St Kilda over Jake Carlisle.
The Swans would be prepared to help the deadlock if it would allow the club to turn their No. 14 pick (worth 1161 points on the draft value index) into multiple selections, or extra draft points.
The three clubs have begun exploring a trade that in essence would see Sydney switch pick 14 for St Kilda's pick 24 and another selection or two. The Saints would then send pick five to Essendon for Carlisle.

The problem is that Essendon's third round pick is not sufficient compensation for the Swans, with Sydney only willing to move pick 14 if it receives an adequate number of points.
Trading pick 14 for picks 24 and pick 44 (the Bombers' third round pick) would see the Swans lose, not gain, points. The Bombers have so far not been willing to give up either pick 23 or 25.
Swans Academy player Callum Mills is considered by some clubs to be a top three prospect, and accessing more points would enable the Swans to match a high bid for him more easily.

Re: 2015 - Draft & Trade Thread
http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-10-20/t ... lisle-deal
The Swans are keen to take more draft points to next month's national draft in Adelaide, and could be willing to part with pick 14 in exchange for St Kilda's pick 24 and possibly one of Essendon's second or third-round picks.
The Swans would need to receive more points than their current 1161 for pick 14 – helping them bid for academy star Callum Mills and potentially father-son Josh Dunkley - to buy into the deal.
With another first-round pick in hand, it would mean the Saints would finally be willing to part with pick No.5 in a swap for Carlisle.
There is still the chance St Kilda and the Bombers can find a solution without involving a third party, but the Herald Sun reports the circling Hawks are prepared to restructure their player payments to fit Carlisle under their salary cap.

Re: 2015 - Draft & Trade Thread
So does this equal 5 + 24 for Carlsile and 14?
Not that great,
Hopefully Carlisle comes out today and says Trade me to the Saints or I'm going to the PSD

The Saints seem very reluctant to push the PSD line, have they given Carlisle a guarantee that they won't make him go through the PSD?

Re: 2015 - Draft & Trade Thread
It does seem odd that we haven't used this ultimate leverage as if Essendon really believed that Carlisle was prepared to go into PSD , they would accept our offers.derby Street wrote:The Saints seem very reluctant to push the PSD line, have they given Carlisle a guarantee that they won't make him go through the PSD?
One year will be our year
Re: 2015 - Draft & Trade Thread
The seagulls are hovering
Hawthorn would be prepared to restructure its player payments to fit in Jake Carlisle as Essendon stands firm on its trade demands.
The Hawks remain keen on Carlisle and will attempt to zero in if the Saints and Bombers cannot agree to a deal by Thursday afternoon.
The reigning premiers privately are confident Carlisle has not ruled out Waverley as a new home next season.

Re: 2015 - Draft & Trade Thread
The problem is that he hasn't said he'll go to the PDS so we can't use that as leverage. He said he only wants to play for the Saints which isn't quite the same thing.longtimesaint wrote:It does seem odd that we haven't used this ultimate leverage as if Essendon really believed that Carlisle was prepared to go into PSD , they would accept our offers.derby Street wrote:The Saints seem very reluctant to push the PSD line, have they given Carlisle a guarantee that they won't make him go through the PSD?
Then with him mentioning the Hawks, hasn't helped a trade get done
Dildo will keep pushing this as long as he believes it.
The other thing is the club wants to be seen as able to get deals done
Perhaps the meeting with Carlisle's manager last night will produce something.
GWS wont trade 8 for 2nd rounders, so it may end up as 5 for Carlisle and 23 or 25, they've already offered Carlisle and 3rd for 5 so may go more

Nothing I tried could get rid off it.
Seems Essendon have been holding recovery sessions there.
I was wondering what all the empty vials labelled Thymosin Beta 4 and used syringes were doing lying around on MY beach.
Now all is becoming clearer.
I had the beach cleaning machines working on the sand last week but it seems I will need to bring in the US Army to decontaminate MY beach.

Freeman trade done.
The Magpies will receive our second round pick in next year’s draft and selection No.63 in this year’s draft in exchange for Freeman and pick No.68.

So rather than rely on those numpties at BigFooty how is the Carlisle trade going?
