Re: Diordo
Basically the guy who was on SEN doing the draft wrap was saying Dodoro was a really "good guy".
So Dodoro probably gives the journalist good info in a pleasant manner so he intern said he was a good guy.
It was all in reference to Essendon being difficult to deal with, so I'm not sure what being a good guy has to do with anything
It was a bit annoying but not worth searching for a podcast

Re: Diordo
Dodoro said the genesis of the Hawthorn trade was very recent and only came after the Saints weren't able to get the deal done quickly.
"Actually happened yesterday ... in discussions with Graham Wright. They expressed an interest in Jake and the deal's a very good deal," he said.
"We spoke to St Kilda yesterday and they made it perfectly clear they weren’t prepared to part with pick five, and that’s fair enough."
In a proposed deal also involving North Melbourne, Essendon would receive picks No. 15 (from the Roos) and 18 (from the Hawks), North would get Jed Anderson from Hawthorn and pick No. 41 (from the Bombers) and Hawthorn would acquire Carlisle.
Anderson has only played 10 games in his career but is seen by some as having the potential to become a very good player. He's a strong overhead mark despite his small stature and can burn opponents with his pace.
"We're now committed to (Hawthorn) if we can get this deal done," Dodoro said.
"(The Saints) haven't contacted us today so I don’t know what their position is right now."
"Right now, we're committed with Hawthorn. They've done the right thing, they’ve put it on the table. The Saints haven't put it on the table."

Re: Diordo
I'm going to ask a simple question here.
But what happens if Carlisle says he doesn't want to go to Hawthorn?
What happens then?
BTW Richmond put out a statement denying they had sought to talk about Carlisle within about 5 minutes of that interview. Virtually accused him of being a liar.
I just thought he came across as an arrogant ******

Re: Diordo
Carlisle is on an overseas holiday.
Just exactly how did this "professional" club Hawthorn conduct a medical on the player in question.
Did they just take Dildos word.
"We can't let you see his medical file because we have lost it until after the WADA appeal is over, but you can take Essendon's word for it that medically he is fine".

Re: Diordo
Diodoro contradicts his position when he talks of the Brisbane deal and Brisbane letting go as Leu.. wants to go to Essendon. Can't he see his behavior not to give a bit to allow the trade to the Saints (because he wants to) is the opposite of his approach in commending Brisbane. Wouldn't it be good if we could say Essendon relaxed their demands to allow Carlisle to come to his preferred club...not likely. Remember all those at Essendon who gave references for Lovett. Something different about people connected to that club which we don't want to bring into our club culture. Go on Hawthorn, take him without a medical.

Re: Diordo
here is the other interview he gave this evening- 3AW
http://www.3aw.com.au/news/essendon-lis ... kadej.html
Jake Carlisle remains committed to St Kilda.
Essendon list manager Adrian Dodoro wants Jake Carlisle to come to an agreement with Hawthorn, despite Carlisle remaining firm with his intention of joining St Kilda.
Dodoro told 3AW the Bombers were satisfied with the Hawks' bid for the tall utility, who came from the clouds on Thursday.
"Right now, it's with the Hawthorn footy club," Dodoro said on Sports Today.
"They're in discussions with Jake and we're hoping they can come to an agreement soon."
But St Kilda and Carlisle's management released a statement shortly after those comments, reaffirming Carlisle's desire to join the Saints.
Dodoro, meanwhile, said Essendon "could have pushed" Melbourne for more in its deal for Jake Melksham.
They received pick 25 for the midfielder.
He also laughed off suggestions Brendon Goddard might be leaving Essendon.

Re: Diordo
Personally, I prefer to see us hold our collective nerve, call this bluff, and if necessary, walk away from a deal like the one proposed by Essendon. Mark Slobinson on the Run Home said quite clearly that the guy is not worth a first round pick based on ATTITUDE. If Carlisle is fair dinkum about coming to us then he will get here via the PSD.

Sounds like he wants to come to the Saints and Essendon are being unreasonable.
Saints have a good case now to just wait until the PSD.

Have inside word form someone that has had dealings with him before and it was confirmed that he is a dick
Didn't Dildoro also have something to do with the suspect Armstrong Creek rezoning land deal along with Fishlips that netted them both a fortune??

Re: Diordo
Carlisle can come via the PSD, and we keep our Pick #5.
Dodoro will look like a fool.
All Carlisle needs to do is state "I don't want to play for anyone but st.kilda".
There will be clubs that will say they would take him, but they won't, just like what happened to Luke Ball.
The end.
Essendon supporters will whinge and cry, but tough, that's what you get for being unreasonable and also for Lovett.

I don't think we honestly 'need' him so to speak. I'd like to have him, but I've never been a fan and I'm not willing to part with pick 5.
I want the club to continue on their 5 year plan or whatever it was, getting new young talent via the draft. Pick #5 will get you a good player and we need midfielders.
It was never our intention to target Free Agents and big players in 2015 IIRC. It was in the latter years. I wish I could find the article.
