What's sad is that this is what the filth's wish list looks like every year (apart from playing themselves, obviously). What is even sadder is that every year their wishes are granted. The AFL is the the filth's genie. Imagine if we requested this in reality. The AFL would piss themselves laughing and the rest of the competition would revolt in outrage.

Agreed and just to help the muddle headed wombats at Channel 7 work out the twilight fixture-run games out of W.A. at the Eastern twilight time eg 430 which means a 230 start in WA.

And alternate with games in Queensland where by it won't be freezing with a 730 finish on a Sunday night.

I don't get what you mean about the people at 7 working out the times. We will still have 2 or 3 of those games next season because its a Foxtel game so it is for bottom sides as well as Perth sides.

Matrix, what has travelling interstate got to do with Vic teams wanting to play Collingwood at MCG...I would have thought that collingwood have to play the interstate teams at least once a year so why don't they travel for all of these. They have to play them somewhere and playing them here in Vic cuts out playing other vic sides at the mcg.

Its bs excusses that are thrown up to the non-thinking public.

Not hard Mr Trigg when your bottom of the ladder

Carlton chief executive Steven Trigg on Monday night was disappointed with the outcome, but was pragmatic after a horrendous 2015 season.

“We don’t like it and it’s an almighty backhander, but there’s old saying in footy and it’s you get what you deserve,’’ Trigg said.

“It’s fair to say what we served up on Friday night fixtures last season didn’t help.

“We were expecting some sort of change but to have to have zero is in stark contrast to the year before.

“There is some context, I’m told there are five or six teams above us (on the ladder) with no Thursday or Friday night fixtures either.

“So, it’s not the sole territory of the Blues.’’

Melbourne has scored a major victory with its playing schedule next season, having convinced the AFL to reprise its Anzac eve clash against Richmond at the MCG.
In a move which is expected to irritate Collingwood, the competition will return to the scene of its 2014 fixturing fiasco — Sunday night football — in order to satisfy the Demons and the Tigers which have worked to create a new regular event in the AFL calendar.
