I'd like to think pick 5 is off the table. From what the club has been saying for 2+ years is that they want as many 1st round picks as possible. Pick 5, Carlisle and Freeman gives us another 3 first round players into the club.

Fyffe should be an easy pick up then. I worry about Watts getting the number one pick if he is traded. Of course it means nothing at all after about a year or two.

Lets be honest. Carlton have become the GWS Reserves Side (Remember Jaksch and Whiley). None of these guys are GWS first 22.

A far cry from the 80s when guys who couldn't get a game at Carlton went to other clubs to get games.

Tend to think you are right. I have tried a million combinations in my head and I cant find a way to get Treloar, Carlisle and Freeman. Just not possible.

Ill be very happy if we managed to get Mathieson, Carlisle and Freeman. But even to do that we will need to lose a quality player.

THE BRISBANE Lions have no intention of trading James Aish despite the midfielder's declaration he wants to play for Collingwood.

After a bizarre and drawn-out process, the 19-year-old finally announced on Thursday – 33 days after the Lions' season ended – that he wanted to become a Magpie.

But the Lions are prepared to play hard ball on the 2013 No.7 NAB AFL Draft selection and force him back into the draft if he's determined to leave.
