Very interesting thread this. When I was suggesting Armo and Steven needed to be traded ages ago I got a warning from the mods for spamming. Now it seems other are advocating this too.

Like I have said before, St Kilda are at the stage where the now is not so important. The next 2 years if we were just to win another 6 games per year and have a percentage of around 80% like this year I would be happy with that. It's what happens from 2018 and beyond is what we should be focusing on. With that in mind plus our whole squad is another year older I would do the following trades if we got in return what WE WANT......
1. Hickey for pick 18 or better.
2. Armo for pick 5ish or better.
3. Steven for pick 5ish or better.
I feel confident that without the 3 players above St Kilda would still win 6 games next year. The huge upside is that with those 3 picks we would be able to draft Carlisle with pick 18 and with the 2 top 5ish picks we would be able to grab Darcy Parish (181cm Midfielder - Vic Country) and Harley Balic (186cm Midfielder - Vic Metro).
Then we would still have our normal picks at 7 and 25. With 7 maybe we could grab Kieran Collins (193cm Key Defender - Vic Country) and with 25 maybe we could use that to trade with.
Whatever you think of the above just remember that if we don't take a risk and just go to the national draft each year we have exactly the same picks as the premiership team apart from our first pick.
