aside from First weekend when 4 finals are played ALL VFL finals are at North Port - Till the Grand final-- which is at Etihad

A disgrace on three levels.

Firstly after the cold vomit we were served up in the Saints last two games of the year you'd think that the Saints would be only too pleased to give players and supporters a chance of the prospect of some real pleasure in an environment where we might, horror of horrors, actually win something. We do everything we can to try and create a winning culture from the ashes in the ones and then we just chuck it in the twos.

Secondly many of us have been going along every week all year and watching the development of our first year, young and fringe players. It's been a great year. Exciting games, many come from behind wins. Great nostalgia as well in seeing former Sainters, Jones and TDL putting in. We were 80/1 the flag half way through the season, into 6/1 last week.

Thirdly the lack of transparency around team selection is just plain sad. What is to be lost at this stage, when we're finished in the AFL, in simply saying what is going on? They can't even be bothered explaining why Blake Acres, who was great last week won't be playing in our v much understrength midfield this week. Pierce in front of Hickey ffs. Not a word about Paddy McCartin. We have been specialists in lazy mystery around player availability for years, now we know it wasn't just Ross Lyon dissembling, it's part of our 'culture'.

I'm unsure why we need to explain why certain players aren't playing. It is Sandy playing not St Kilda and only 12 Saints are allowed to play anyway.

I think it's a self-imposed maximum of 15 by way of agreement with Sandy. That's two thirds of the side.

I know its self imposed but I thought it was 12. Either way its up to sandy to make statements. Its their side.

Yes but Moore and Scharenberg are both playing seems one side is playing to win while the other is filling in time.
