Re: Lenny off to GWS
I know Ross tried to get him this year at Freo but I don't think he wanted to move this side of the country

Good pickup for the Giants. Lenny has the attributes to make a fine coach.

Will his heart handle the pressure?

I'm sure he will be pumped for the challenge and he has his heart issue all beat.plugger66 wrote:SENsei wrote:Good pickup for the Giants. Lenny has the attributes to make a fine coach.

He is a smart man. Lets face it. GWS is going to be pretty bloody exciting in the next few years. Lots of talented youth there for Lenny to work with.
Re: Lenny off to GWS
Surely we had a crack at him as well? Maybe he needs to get another perspective on coaching before he comes back to us, although it annoys me a little bit he chose the GWS

His family up there? Probably not a huge surprise if his parents want to be near grand kids etc.Kernal75 wrote:Surely we had a crack at him as well? Maybe he needs to get another perspective on coaching before he comes back to us, although it annoys me a little bit he chose the GWS

Well he is from that area of Sydney so it isn't surprising.

Comes from a broken family...
any wonder he was such a trouble maker!

Been on the cards for years. Sheedy approached Lenny in 2011, might've been 2012. Anyway, he was offered a playing / coaching gig back then but turned it down. Said he'd head back their one day, which he has. Mum and bro live in Syd so he always wanted to get back there. Dad in Melb's but he's not very close to him.

I actually thought he may have tried to get a job in Melbourne as his wifes family are in Melbourne. I think his brother is still in Canberra but his 2 sisters are in Sydney. Anyway he is gone and who knows if he will be back. If he sells his house then maybe not.

Why? They both may not be good coaches.
Re: Lenny off to GWS
Good on Lenny.
Guys, any of our players, would need to choose different clubs to join and learn from first.
He isn't able to offer any other ideas and thoughts, because he's only ever learnt from the one club.
He and Harvey need to learn as much as they can from different clubs/roles, and then one day re-unite together at once at the Saints.
That's the way I see it anyway.

He wasn't wearing Saint's gear in the rooms pre Schneider's last game, but neither was Kosi. All done and dusted just waiting for end of season to announce it. Hoped He'd be there to help with the rebuild.
