Luke Delaney
Played pretty much every game for a year and a half then fell out of favour suddenly. Watching Sandringham yesterday he played at Full Fwd and did not look interested. Is he contracted and what do people think about him long term?

Re: Luke Delaney
Well he isn't exactly dominating the VFL so that says it all.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Luke Delaney
Feel a bit sorry for him, was 5th in the B&F last year, now demoted to the VFL - is his body stuffed?
Still definitely needed on the list IMO.
If you think of 2017 without Dempster & Fisher, we will need Delaney unless we've drafted a few more key defenders.
Will be interesting to see the side without Riewoldt, Montagna, Fisher, Dempster etc

Re: Luke Delaney
He would be in danger at the moment but I think he's worth persevering with. If he could get back to 2014 form he would improve our side.

You don't win premierships with spuds like Delaney. The Roos saw us coming.Armoooo wrote:He would be in danger at the moment but I think he's worth persevering with. If he could get back to 2014 form he would improve our side.

we didn't win a premiership with Frawley, Hudgeton or Fisher either.
the guy came over for pick 77 and came 5th in the B&F, show a little respect

He's contracted, but should be moved on. Can't even get a kick at Sandy!
Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

Do you feel tough saying that on a fan forum? Pathetic. Changing you name and pretending to be another poster didn't work so its back to normal form just without the emoticons. By the way you do realise we didn't give them much back at all? I don't that though.

Re: Luke Delaney
He has been very handy in his time with us. He's not in the team. Fisher has got his body right and he's not as important. He was wanted at North too but like the Saints hopefully he's a quality back up when we get a gun FB. Otherwise look at it as Dawson was no world beater but has played in more grand finals that 99.9% of our legends.

Re: Luke Delaney
Cant believe Hudson played at FF again he was terrible there the week before. I wonder if Membrey or McCartin could played thru for the benefit of Sandi - seems to me like the Saints have again put there interests before the sucess of the affiliation!

Hudson played at Hawthorn and I hope we are putting our interests ahead of Sandy. God help the club if we aren't.

Re: Luke Delaney
Delaney too me is a solid n reliable back who pbly lacks that really good weapon to be exactly what the coach wants. He's a stopper, nothing more.
For mine, I would absolutely keep him. Perfect depth player.
Use him as needed... If he gets better, great. If not, he covers until the FB we want is back

Re: Luke Delaney
Very weird decision. How does playing Del at FF help the Saints? Doesnt help Sandy and serves no purpose for the Saints. Just poor all round.saynta wrote:WinnersOnly wrote:Cant believe Hudson played at FF again he was terrible there the week before.
