Re: HARLEY BENNELL
We should have Bruce, McCartin, Membrey, Lonie, Sinclair if all goes well. Even three of those becoming A-grade would be enough to cobble together a good forward line around. I wouldn't be chasing forwards at this point.magnifisaint wrote:What happens when one is injured and the other is having a crap night? Bruce was really ordinary last night. Need to be more unpredictable. Eagles had Darling,Kennedy, La Cras, Hill all waiting for the pill

Bennell arrested on the Gold Coast.
That would probably be the final straw. Alternatively, we could get him on the cheap.
But either way, it's a game changer.

Re: HARLEY BENNELL
Think he's beyond taking a risk with, seems a certainty to re-offend again. We've spent a he'll of a lot if energy to avoid bad press, the papers would have a trios day with us.FQF wrote:Bennell arrested on the Gold Coast.

Sad he's a great talent but off the rails.Waste of a good draft pick regardless of ability
Didn't the Hawks take a risk last season with someone similar and he ended up not playing...

Re: HARLEY BENNELL
nows the time to get him cheap
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.
Re: HARLEY BENNELL
Puts us in an odd position. Too risky for our first pick and our 2nd round won't be enough.

You by bargains when they come up. He is a jet and now has dropped his price by a huge margin. The GC is a party haven and there is a culture of 24/7 partying up there I have heard. Get him down here and the guys like Riewoldt will pull his head in quickly. He needs role models we need talent.

2nd round might be enough now

Yep, 2nd rounder - deal!
Remember all the flogs who didn't want Dustin Martin...
Maybe we could do a straight swap. Geary and Ray for Bennell.

You are so boring. Anyway a second rounder isn't getting it done.
Re: HARLEY BENNELL
What about a second round pick and Farren Ray? Apparently GC are after mature players. Farren thinks he has at least 2 years left in him.plugger66 wrote:#gosaintas wrote:Yep, 2nd rounder - deal!

They would laugh at that. Ray has played more games in the seconds than the ones this year and he is 29 years old. I'm pretty sure they would be looking at mature players that can play all the games in the seniors.

2nd rounder and Geary. Do they need someone who is incapable of kicking or handballing to our advantage but has courage to burn?
