Been a loyal servant but there isn't anything to be gained by keeping him on the list.

Re: Farren Ray is garbage
If there is a one year deal on the table for him we need to take it off the table immediately. If we have players in the 22 making rookie errors, they shouldn't be veterans. McKenzie and Acres to play Ray's role from now on...surely.

Essendon and Richmond have a go but they aren't as good at it.SainterK wrote:Does any supporter base eat their own more than some of ours?

Agree.
Why have we only so far retired only one player? And that player was a rookie.
Doesn't make sense

Yep time is up no future in he playing on!
Having said I would trade some of our slow one paced midfielders if we got something decent...

Re: Farren Ray is garbage
Terrible OP. Very harsh. Has been a terrific servant. Great courage. Terrific bloke.
But from a list mgt perspective, I don't see what can be gained from him playing on. We are living in a fool's paradise if we think we can keep going with the same old players and that everything is just going to fall into place neatly. Much rather see Acres and D-Mac get games into them next year.

Farren has been a great servant to the club and deserves our respect.

Not sure he touched it in the second half. He is a waste of time. Will be a very good player for Sandringham next year

I am not sure about this - but I just feel we cant have Armo, Ross and Dunstan in the same 22 and be a good side. Too same same. Too crab-like in the middle.saynta wrote:WinnersOnly wrote:Yep time is up no future in he playing on!

Did you see his game tonight? He is not in the same league as the other two. I would trade him in an instant.Con Gorozidis wrote:I am not sure about this - but I just feel we cant have Armo, Ross and Dunstan in the same 22 and be a good side. Too same same. Re: Farren Ray is garbage
dunstan is only in his second year of senior footy...he is barely 20 years of age. what is rays excuse? anyhow everyone has bad games here and there and if ray has earnt himself a 1 year contract then good luck to him.
imo, luke dunstan has a tonne of upside. where was matty priddis playing when he was 20?

Re: Farren Ray is garbage
I think he spent his early 20s working on his perm and tan. Paid dividends. Look at him now.Scollop wrote:. where was matty priddis playing when he was 20?
