Great news. When switched on has good size, speed and a nice pair of hands overhead. Kicking still a bit iffy. but he's too good to lose

He has looked ok in the middle but I still wouldn't put him in our top dozen, let alone top 5

I'm not a fan of Sam Gilbert mainly due to his poor kicking and some poor decision making under pressure but I'm certainly not a hater. I expect he will be get a game when the selectors think that he is in the best 22 but I'll be hoping that we have 22 better than him.
