Ross Tangatalum
How highly do people rate the Ovens an Murray League?
Ross Tangatalum is having a great season, he's currently 3rd in the league goal kicking playing as a small forward he has kicked 52 goals.
Daryn Cresswell who is coaching him at Wondonga Raiders is singing his praises and is saying that Ross would be worthy of a spot on a AFL list.

O&M was always pretty strong. But it's at least a level or two below VFL, he probably needs to kick goals there first. Not many 25 year olds are drafted straight from country leagues.

Has he still got legs like match sticks?

Re: Ross Tangatalum
We would have to offer him a senior spot.. We could do a lot worse. He had some good games as a rookie for us.

Do we need another small forward?borderbarry wrote:We would have to offer him a senior spot.. We could do a lot worse. He had some good games as a rookie for us.

Not really. A few other clubs do. I doubt he even wants to play AFL. But maybe Port or Freo would/could Rookie him?RW&B wrote:Do we need another small forward?borderbarry wrote:We would have to offer him a senior spot.. We could do a lot worse. He had some good games as a rookie for us.

Re: Ross Tangatalum
Why would we draft a player who we delisted as a rookie and who is a gun in a league "at least a level or two below VFL"?
We've already seen with Clint Jones, TDL, etc how big the gap is between AFL and VFL. He's a risk in an area we already have decent options for already. Hope he makes it somewhere though.

Just My Opinion

Saad would probably kick 50 in a full year at VFL level but no spot in the firsts for him.
