Stevie motlop is a super player. Have no doubt. Without him we have this game won already.

Great effort Saints. Great pressure and team plays. Just unfortunate we haven't executed in front of goal again with 4 shots missed within 25m, admittedly some of these were under pressure.
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

Useless coaching. What in the hell was Nick Riewoldt doing in the centre of the ground in the last 2 minutes? Planning for the future?

How can Bartel kick the ball from a metre out of the goal square?
Also 50m to Weller not paid, why?

Re: Match Thread v Cats
what a exciting game... heart in the guts stuff.
Minch not in the middle that much disappointing. but the boys kept going while the cats threatened over and over to take it.
1000 times better then last week. Holmes very good first game considering.

Re: Match Thread v Cats
well done Saints. Deserved it, and if the umps were braver there was a deadset fifty, as well as a bounce on the goal square, in the last minute.
Nice to end Geelong's finals run as well.

Re: Match Thread v Cats
A draw, we did extremely well to fight to the end the way we did.
We will take a lot more out of that game than Geelong, thats really going to eat at them.
Great experience for the young fellas also.
Lets fight hard for the next 2 games and keep building our new culture.

Nick is there for Leadership and ground coaching nowadays. I wouldn't expecte Nick forward in any game from now unless required. The rest need to grow and work out how the future is going to look. Great coaching in my book. This is called development and Richo and the team are great at it.
