The other Weller
Time to become the new Hawks in this league. Either at the end of this year or during next year we should make a serious play for this kid. To me the start of the new era is now and I am sure we can get him for a hell of a lot less than Boyd. A play at treloar as well and if you land both then 2018 would suddenly look pretty rosy!

He will be good. Pick 13 and under a Lyon regime should mean he is ripe for the plucking

First game today I think.
Came on in last qtr - 8 disposals. 7 hit the target.
Our Pick 24 + a half decent player would be required to get him.

Gee, even though he was on for a quarter he showed so much. A willingness to try to win his own ball, tackled, worked up and down the ground, possessed the ball with loads of run'n'carry (took three or four bounces), kicked well, penetrating kick to pick out a forward for a mark and goal.
And the Freo supporters roared everytime he got the ball so he's already a crowd favourite.
He's good. He's very good.

I would want to see a lot more of him playing before I made a judgement on him. Ross came on for us a few weeks ago as sub, was a ball magnet- now he is back at VFL.

That would be a big win for us but I doubt Freo are that silly. They seem to be ok in the Ruck division. Not desperate enough to part with a first rounder anyway.citywest wrote:Hickey for Weller.
