Re: Big outs
I think it's a way of both resting the skipper and a young gun who is getting tired, and also to give the coaches a look at some of the players who have done well at Sandy.
We may see Saunders, Lee or Markworth given a chance to show what they can do.

Re: Big outs
The "outs" are not a surprise. It opens the door for a few VFL tryers, which is good for everyone.

Re: Big outs
I disagree...neither Lonie or Gilbert were listed as 'in doubt' on the useless 'weekly injury report'. And Rooey is our best player and only sustained a corked calf on which he was still able to run out the game, so i'm surprised that Lonie has been left out altogether and Rooey didn't get up as well seeing as he is still our best and most important player. I'm less surprised personally by Gilbert being out as I thought all along he would struggle to come up despite zero mention by the club and his own assertions on a monday presser, and i'm on record for that. These outs seriously hurt our chances of winning IMO which is dissapointing, but having a glass half full mindset, a chance for any of Ross, Acres, Membrey etc to take the opportunity and demand they hold there spot!!Junction Oval wrote:The "outs" are not a surprise. I had no idea we would have these outs but it doesn't surprise me. I said about 4 weeks ago we would go in with our best sides in games we thought we could win and try younger guys in games we may struggle to win. Maybe that is their thinking. Probably just co incidence though.

Re: Big outs
Roo - mentally shot, needs a rest
Lonie- just needs a rest
Gilbo- pre cautionary
Armo and Snides- both sore

Re: Big outs
Surely they could have staggered the rests of Armo and Roo. Our two most important players. It would do a lot of damage if we were pantsed by a fired up Port.tony74 wrote:Roo - mentally shot, needs a rest
