For now at least could the sub-forums be put to the bottom of the page and the old general forum be put to the top (with the removal of a couple of the stickies)...?

Or is that just as technically complicated?

So without consultation, Simon took it on himself to split the forums.
In the middle of the night,as I recall.(?)
Then says not my problem when the general consensus is clearly to put it back.

And as for saying there's too much work, well that's what happens when you do nothing for so long.

i think it was more 'consensus' didnt match what was the New Plan
for the rabble rousers who infested the General.
(who , imo , were unfairly blamed for SS's 'seeming' woes)

Firstly the GF change was via consultation - just after the fact there were objections.

Second - I am not deleting any threads. That is not an option. If they don't breach rules they have every right to remain.

Lastly I shall try to do the other stuff.

No idea why this is so important to you all - it doesn't impact on your ability to post in the forum or forums and it certainly allows readers (maybe other than you) to find areas of interest to look at rather than the way the old gf lumped it all together.

Anyway I am not here to argue rather to let you know that I shall see what I can do.

Then you informed us of your idea - almost everyone was against it as I recall, but you went ahead anyway. A bit of effort involved in doing so no doubt.
Now you can't be bothered as it's not important to you - yet important enough to change in the first place? And you even denigrate users to suggest they shouldn't care - the equivalent of 'get a life'.
It's forum where we share ideas. We use it and enjoy it.
Go and split the main forum into subforums and see what happens.

And ... if their was any fair dinkumness about this whole

it would be written into the 'Rules' of usage ,
that it is each posters RESPONSIBILITY , to leave BEFORE they are offended.

Which removes the dobbers & wingers from the Community
without any further involvement of mods or admin
needed , required or desired.
