A lot of people will say he is now playing a different role which explains the dramatic drop off in goals (60% fewer goals/game). Point taken and accepted. But worth nothing that he kicked more goals in 2011 than the entire four seasons following.
But how do you explain the drop off in goal shooting accuracy (26% drop in accuracy).
My theory is being two yards slower makes you rush your shots.
Some comparisons from 2015 (15 Rounds played)
Betts 37.13
Higgins 27.16
Josh Green 19.9
I think it is easily explained. Schneider by playing more of a on ball role is probably further out when having shots at goal and secondly his legs are probably heavier because of playing an on ball role and thirdly age probably effects his accuracy. Still having a very good year and will continue to hold his spot.

Geary ordinary today? Don't think so. Were you at the game? Again I don't think so.saintjake wrote:Schneider, Gilbert, Geary were all really ordinary today.
Can't sugar coat it.
Re: Time to stop playing our oldest team
He was and if it was my decision I still would not have rookied him even in hindsight but now he is on the list he is allowed the same chances as most players and IMO one bad game doesn't mean he is dropped. If he has another that may make it harder to stay in the side but if we are looking to drop an older player then Ray is ahead of him.Bunk_Moreland wrote:I think you have to admit he had a mare yesterday though.plugger66 wrote:Con Gorozidis wrote:Adam Schneider

Re: Time to stop playing our oldest team
age effects accuracy?
so he is too old to kick goals
ok then
look i can see the opinions on ray, geary and gilbert (and you all know my comments on gilbs over the years)
they have some poor kicking skills
yes
we know that
but its the work off the ball and the hard stuff
gears especially
thats why they get games
for mine
chips will call it himself this year i think,
still bustign his ass but reckon he might hang em up and play some golf
so we need to get goddard in for a crack soon
give him a sniff at least
ray and gilbert wouldve been gone a year again if it was me
but we have not enough experienced backman if gilbs goes as well
so understand the current backline each week
if tom lee ( the oversized spud ) is playign down back at sandy whats the deal there?
is he coming into the ones as a defender?????

Yep it does because of the tiredness in the legs. What I find fascinating is your wont to find fault with posts. Probably the lack of interaction with others through the school age years. I do like some of the questions you ask though. No idea how anyone here would know the answers though.

I would much rather see us start to play the kids. Thrown in Goddard and we are yet to try out Lee in defence. Our defence is old now.
Re: Time to stop playing our oldest team
Now is the right time for a couple of youngsters, I'd like to see Goddard if ready and Mckenzie or Eli back. Maybe Ray out. Wouldn't mind hickey having a go in lieu of longer, if only for a week or two.

It is 'easy' to explain if you want to find a way to explain it but 27.31 in 5 years is just poor conversion plain and simple.plugger66 wrote:Con Gorozidis wrote:Adam Schneider

If you want to come up with some reason about 'distance out' then it is simply poor decision making to shoot from there.

He can't play fwd. He can't play midfield. He can't play back. It's ruck or retire.

Thought it was hilarious today. you screaming for him to be substituted after halftime, he was instrumental in two out of the first three goals in the third quarter.
Made you look so foolish. But then again.......

This site is fantastic. We have a game where we can win and 7 people hope we lose and now a person calling a guy who has given everything for the club a little spud. Makes you wonder when some people will every be happy. Schneider will not be dropped this week and I hope we win.

Adam Schnieder has given me heartburn from time to time with misses on goal. However, this is FAR outweighed by all the effort and loyalty he has given to the club. I reckon some folk should just get on with SUPPORTING our players!

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.
