Love how Basil Zemplis just completely missed a courageous spoil by Roberton. Not even a mention.

I haven't watched much footy lately, but I have to say I'm surprised by just how low the skills are. It seems like a lot of players here just have stumps instead of hands and feet. I hope we can sort it out eventually.

Playing crap but doing well...says a lot about Melb.
Poor old Gilbert...just about every disposal goes to the opposition
Go Dees we want picks

Swear to god Sam Gilbert was good once.
Anyone there? Cries of ball and booing from Melbourne supporters alot louder than our cheers.
Savage stays in the team?

Good 2nd half of qtr.. Stepped up a gear and became better with the ball.
Gilbo did some nice things, Paddy presented well, Steven picked up as the qtr progressed and Roo was Roo.
And we have the smallest cheer squad in the world in attendance.

What is it with Saints supporters wanting a wooden spoon or low ladder ranking just to pick up some early first-round draft picks. You don’t see the Hawks, Cats, North, etc. operate like this! The Hawks would be the best example. When did they last have a wooden spoon or sat very low on the ladder???
And yes….. I do want them to win.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Demons @ MCG
Do they have a stat for direct turnovers to opposition advantage?
There should be a grade system for turnovers:
Grade 1: turnover to opposition direct scoring shot
Grade 2: turnover to opposition to advantage
Grade 3: turnover to opposition in congestion
Something like that anyway.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Demons @ MCG
and then when Melbourne break from our forwardline they have space everywhere
We have to clear our forwardline out and make space somehow
Richo being out coached at the moment

Re: Match Thread Saints v Demons @ MCG
This will be like the dogs game. Our forward line flooded all day, we can't score. Then the other team will score on the rebound if an open forward line. We poses and go backwards and just facilitate the flood. All a learning process but no less frustrating.
