Best: Ross, Jones, Membrey, Acres, Shenton, Brown

White kicked 1 apparently, I've got no info though so would be good to hear from someone who was there.

Spencer did well- , when rhythm of the game kicked in the Zebs did well
1 contest early int eh game he did repeated acts for several minutes to get the ball to safety,

WHEN they put 4 qur together it will be exciting.

Sandringham 15.12 (102) d Richmond 8.9 (57)

Win/loss: Richmond 5-9 / Sandringham 10-4

Telling facts: Sandringham left its best till last, overrunning Richmond in the final term with eight goals to nil to record a 45-point win. With only two goals to half time, the Zebras fired up with a 13-goal second half for their third win on the trot.

Leading goalkickers: McBean 4 (Richmond) / Acres, Membrey, Denis-Lane 3 (Sandringham)

Really awful first half of footy. Both teams butchered the ball. Second half opened right up. Thought it was hickeys best game for sandy that I have seen. Ross was excellent. Acres just has class and I thought his tackling today was first class.

Wright had patches as did Saunders but I have questions over decision making and disposal. Thought that holmes is really starting to make good decisions. Just does not handball straight away had started to have vision and trust foot skills more.

To me both membrey and white don't get to enough contests.

Thought markworth moved well without influencing the game.

Good win considering the players out.

On a side note if the tiges don't want to give McBean a regular senior gig
I think other teams will

Thanks for the post Wal! Looks like a lot out: Siposs, Murdoch, Simpkin, Saad. Was there an epidemic this week or something?

How about Conca, I saw him in the best? Is he on the outer or has he been injured? Looked good to me a couple of years ago.

My review with the disclaimer that I just follow the ball and my eyesight is not that good.

Hickey
Drifted in and out, took a couple of nice marks. Did Ok in the ruck. I'd rather see him in the seniors.

Ross
Like most, looked better in the second half. Seemed to have plenty of time and used it well.

Acres
Two nice goals in the last few minutes when it was all over. Just shows a lot of class whenever he goes near the ball.

Lee
Uses it really well. Kicked a great long goal when the game was in the balance in the last.

Markworth
Hardly noticed him.

Delaney
Very solid. Only saw him beaten once.

White
Got on the end of a nice bit of play to kick a goal. But too many times he went at the ball one handed and hoped something would happen. I saw the piece of play that Saintbrat described and it was great but maybe if he'd attacked the ball with both hands initially it would have worked out a lot better.

Membrey
I thought he was really good. Took some strong marks and converted.

Wright
Didn't get enough of it as far as I was concerned.

Saunders
Lots of run through the middle. Was prominent in the last quarter and kicked a great goal on the run

McKenzie
Had one brain fade where he dropped a mark and allowed himself to be tackled and thought he would be OK to just walk over the line with it. But generally his attack on the ball was really good and used it well with both feet.

Shenton
Was OK but I expected more. There was one situation where you would expect him to put in more of an effort taking an overhead mark in an exposed position.

Minchington
Seemed to go missing for a long period but started to get it again in the last quarter.

Holmes
He was quiet. Took one nice mark and started to get involved in the second half. I like the way he fights to get his hands free when tackled.

Your eyes are not that bad kosi. Your appraisal of white was spot on in that contest. His second effort and third were really good in that contest but the attack on the ball at the start of it was second rate

Thanks for the updates everyone. Much appreciated.

Anyone have more notes on Lee today and/or for the season? Seems to have had a pretty solid year as a key back, do people who watch Sandy regularly think he is a chance to play at the top level as a defender? Uses the ball beautifully, haven't seen him all year but hope he gets a chance.

always good to see other Saints team present to support Sandy
a large group in the stands today including Tom Curren who managed to get up there with 1 crutch and moon boot.

re Hickey and Holmes
Holmes has been spending more time forward and was there for the majority of the 1st 3 qu today- then moved to the centre for the majority of hit outs..

Hickey moves back when not in the centre and numerous times took saving marks.

Hopefully Eli will have taken note that he needs to perform today or he is definitely out of the 1s. You give a fringe player two cracks but not three with so many replacements doing well in the magoos. Good timing have the Zebs play a day before the Saints!
