Had a dip i. The last. Good effort. Take something out of the game. Richmond put the cue in the rack though

Yep, another point, the theme of the game. Good effort from the boys in the last quarter but they really need to understand why the 2 and 3 quarters lapsed so badly.
I am not sure we have another game plan when things start to go pair shape and the team is unable to execute to the plan.

I reckon Jake King did a pretty good job with comments. I was thinking he was on the money about the lack of gut running to spread and create and this lead to turnovers and difficult defensive recovery. Richmond scored proficiently from our mistakes. The mistake occur when the ball movement is too slow or when the team decisions are too quick. Just need that composure. I believe the ground leaders need to address this as its spontaneous and the coaching needs to happen right then and there.

Having said the above 2 quarters of similar performance needed adjustment. This needed to come from the coaches box. Even if some of the team come to ground level temporarily to insist on the changes.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

I expected us to lose by a fair bit with the side we had in.

Makes all those behinds we kicked early in the game pretty significant.

Oh well. We at least woke up in the first quarter.

Going on what someone was saying about on field leadership, seems that Schneider may have been missed more than some think.

Good indications again, we just need to do it for 4 quarters

I'll believe it when we start to consistently kick better. I admit we need the effort first but we are going nowhere unless we learn to execute on basic kicking skills. I still believe this is was the one key thing that stopped us winning a grand finals over 2009 and 2010 (some extra leg speed would have also helped).

Massive turnovers is a huge drain on a team and scratches away the team's belief. Look what happens when you create space and get clear with fater ball movement. Players can then rely on taller forwards to be more dominant. We cant rely on our small forwards to win games consistently and wont develop our taller forwards until we consistently create and kick well.

For what it's worth I thought we lost a fair bit at the selection table. Having Riewoldt , McCartin and Bruce together in the forward line didn't seem to work particularly when Lonie was struggling. Richmond backs just had too much poise and time to run out of defence and then the Tigers were able to spread with confidence. Given this I was really surprised Sinclair came on for Lonie. Nearly all worked though !

Well said couldn't agree more it's why we need mids with outside dash and elite foot skills. Think Dal Santo on speed.
No more 1 paced ok disposers who are in and unders and no more small bloody forwards
We are extremely light on for you g midfield class and to really challenge the big boys we probably need 2-3 of these

Talking of turnovers, we've turned over our players, coaches and recruiters a few times, so its frustrating to see the same old problems haunting us.
