You are garbage - Enough said

Also doesn't help when we slip over 10x more than them, pitch is worst we played on for a while.

I reckon they have smothered at least 10 shots at goal by us so far today. Us none. We can't get an inch.whiskers3614 wrote:I reckon Shaw said " GF replay " to Riewoldt instead of chewy on your boot!

12N.Riewoldt 5
19S.Gilbert 4

Re: Match thread v Giants
No one is denying we are playing terrible because we are, but hell, when you see one side getting decisions and when the exact same thing happens to us it's either play on or a ball up, the standard of umpiring is as good as what we are playing.
Funny, we can't blame it on the interstate crowd because there simply isn't one there to influence the umpires.
Some of our prime movers have been poor and our delivery to the forward line has been just above pathetic. The only thing that would be different if we got free kicks we should have got is maybe 2 goals less to them.

UMPs very little to do with it.. start with disposal move on from there.

We just need to win this quarter. Do that and the self belief will return. Play them at their own game - flood back, create a turnover and get it to Savage. Liking the look of some of his run today.
Your friendly neighbourhood samurai.

Has a team ever won by 100 points one week then lost by 100 the next? I hope Richo gave it to them at half time

I just got home and have watched the first 5 minutes and were killing them. Don't think I'll bother watching the first half later

Re: Match thread v Giants
umps as awful as the saints, but you'd expect poor umpiring to even out. this is a sympathy display from the umps, when sympathy is no longer needed by the Giants. No one is saying it's the reason we're playing poorly, but if this was an even game you'd be livid.ShanghaiSaint wrote:UMPs very little to do with it.. start with disposal move on from there.

Leigh Fisher has been tough on the Saints all year. Ask Rooey he was going crook at him several weeks ago.StPeter wrote:Interesting the lat minute subsitute of Leigh Fisher as umpire. Maybe worried the Saints might get a fair go for a change!
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Well we're sort of back in it, but have to find ways to put it on the scoreboard. Not convinced that we can.

Re: Match thread v Giants
In a game of one percenters having the rub of the umpires can make the difference. So can poor disposal and bad decision making, but that doesn't mean that umpire bias is okay.

Re: Match thread v Giants
We had enough of the ball to get in front that quarter. Forward efficiency needs some work
Re: Match thread v Giants
We bombed it inside 50 way too much in the second part of that quarter. Working really hard again but just not finding enough poise in that final kick.

yep, went back to the first half - not smart enough - when we looked for shorter targets we scored.bergholt wrote:We bombed it inside 50 way too much in the second part of that quarter. Working really hard again but just not finding enough poise in that final kick.

We have let them break many tackles today. Memories of our tackling last year.
