After playing three games for GWS in 2012 and 11 in 2013 the club offered him a two-year extension but with the club already loaded with star youngsters Jeremy Cameron, Jonathon Patton and the prospect of more key forwards to come Bruce made the move to the Saints.
“He went to St Kilda for more opportunity,” Giants coach Leon Cameron said.
“It was disappointing to lose Josh but we’re rapt in the way he is going. Anyone who leaves our club on the right note goes with our blessing and that’s the case with Josh.
“We always knew he could take a big mark and had a big motor. He had two years of interruptions here because of his shins but he’s playing some great footy.
“Whether it’s Nick Haynes, Matt Buntine or whoever it is they will have their work cut out playing on him.
Glad to see The Age is following our progress so closely this year.
St Kilda captain Nick Riewoldt has long been a club favourite, but this year's early merchandise sales suggested he had been edged out by key defender Josh Bruce, who has played just 22 games for the Saints.

My son jumped on him last year and had that stupid hair style with shaved sides. He is at least contributing to the side not just hair fashions now. His performance has improved as has his hair actually. Seriously though he is a huge plus for our marketing, the ladies love him- my wife and her work friends who are all very lazy Saints fans have all taken a renewed interest. The last time she was this interested was when Hammill still had hair.

And now that Hammill is bald has he suddenly turned into an ugly duckling?
Remember Telly Savallas? Now there's one good looking dude!
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Yep, c'mon SB; that was a bit too cryptic
he's been in the news this week and mentioned his "Saint's dad" who told him about one of his awards from the week.

Classic!
I'm a big fan of the Bruuuuuce call when he marks too: love that sort of crowd power. Long live Josh the Bruce, let's hope the swans never try to poach him back to NSW
Just My Opinion

He might have played for the swans, but he is definitely not from NSW. No reason for him to go back.
Do you just post for the sake of it. If so you should give it a rest for awhile as a lot of your posts reveal you haven't a clue. About geography, footy or history.

How many games did he play for the Swans?

14.It doesn't mean that he comes from NSW though, he is a Canberra boy, born and bred

Yes he was. He has said as much. Still , there is no go home factor at play here as has been suggested.
Bruce played for GWS not the Swans and kosi is stringing you along (unfairly). Your point remains the same tho...he won't go back to Sydney (GWS) cos being a Canberra lad he has no ties there.

Thanks mate, it has been a long day, Of course he played for GWS . 14 times to be exact.
He was squeezed out by all their top key forwards. I don't know what I was thinking. No need to call me a fool though. We will leave that one to the mods.
