Come home Brendon
All is forgiven. You can't bring yourself to hurt us when you play against us and you will never play finals there. You are a Saint at heart - just come home.

There might be a job for him as a water boy, if he's lucky!

Take back Brendon Goddard? No way. Which young up and coming player would you drop? Sorry Brendon is a yesterday an and our future is not with him.
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Re: Come home Brendon
Yes Goddard left us for Essendon, but like the rest of us thought we were toast for a flag, also got offered a huge amount from the Injectors.
He was awesome for us in 2009 and 2010 and couldn't have done more for the Saints to win that second flag.
A bit of respect for bj.
I respect Rooey and Joey more, and the good thing is - I dont think we need bj anymore.
There has been rumours about a recent b&f's manager asking about his player coming to the Saints.
If he came back, it would be on a small salary, but I would welcome him with open arms.

It's a bit like an ex-gf that leaves you for someone better and he turns out to be a drop kick
You don't really wish any ill will but the thought of them experiencing a few regrets makes you feel a bit smug

Re: Come home Brendon
He would have to issue the apologies of all apologies to the club and all supporters and that will never happen.
I await the day when his cousin Hugh is judged to be an even better player than Brendan.

Re: Come home Brendon
No he has 'made his own bed, he can now lie in it'. He was greedy and his opinion of his own worth was hugely inflated. He didnt consider his St Kilda team mates or club at that time, so as far as I am concerned he can stay with the injectors!
He is not an elite player and should never have been paid as such!

Re: Come home Brendon
Bottom line is, a lot of the current players are great mates with him and would love to be playing alongside him again.
He's also a good leader. He also loves the club.
On the other hand, do we need another aging player holding a spot that should be filled by a developing player?
So I can't see it happening.
But I don't get the venom. He may have left but it was pretty obvious the club wanted him to. Even more so in the
case of Dal Santo. And Dal's silky skills mean he'd slot in nicely if we were aiming at a flag in the next two years.

Re: Come home Brendon
He would be welcomed back with open arms. If all Essendon players get good independent legal advice & stop drinking Hird's Kool Aid. They'll find that their contracts are null & void.
EDIT: We should ream those cheating squibs and go after him. I still haven't forgotten their "Animals" bleating in 1978.

Could see BJ playing Ray's role quite easily. Just MO.
