If we win...how do the non-tankers celebrate?
Theme song is banned post match.
Will members of the crowd start singing our song if we win?
Are you allowed to bring portabable Bluetooth speakers to stream our song from your phone??
Not sure what is/isn't allowed, but if it's a tight finish/good win the crowd will want to celebrate.
Remember it's not quite as raw 2 and half days post the incident.

Clap and cheer like we did for about 90 years previously.

Get drunk and play ping pong.

I'm surprised Essendon haven't petitioned the AFL so they can have a banner for Jobe's 200th. Would be typical of them.

Maybe show a bit of respect to Phil Walsh and do what the AFL ask and not play or sing the theme song.
And BTW the theme song is not banned...it is out of respect

Will the administrators also show respect and not bombard us with
- that shrieking blonde bimbo with her innane coments
- the mascots dance-off
- the stroboscopic advertising
- music right up to the bounce
- and the other mindless noises that overpower all conversations

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

Re: If we win...how do the non-tankers celebrate?
clap, steal a footy record, stop a kid's footy bouncing over the fence as you leave the ground, chuck on the radio for the drive home, get home, finally get your chance to eat some food because you didn't have the required $50 for dinner at domemart stadium, crack a beer, turn on the heater, turn on the replay, watch replay, load up the review thread and drunkenly contribute until you pass out.

Re: If we win...how do the non-tankers celebrate?
How will the other games pay their respects?
Pre-match
Players, officials and umpires to wear black armbands.
Usual match day club activities such as guards of honour for the team onto the ground, countdowns and pre-banner tracks will not proceed.
Banners and theme songs for team entry will not proceed.
A minute's silence to take place at all matches. A tribute video will be displayed on the scoreboard.
Breaks
Regular in-match club activities that have occurred at quarter-time, half-time and three-quarter time activations will not proceed.
Auskick will proceed as usual.
Post-match
The winning theme song will not be played in venue post-game.
Clubs have been asked to consider not to sing the theme song in the dressing rooms post match.
Scheduled post-match club activities will not proceed.

As long as the AFL keep getting their money that's fine.Enrico_Misso wrote:Will the administrators also show respect and not bombard us with

Part of the gate from each game this weekend should go to the Walsh family but we all know the AFL wouldn't do that.

And they shouldn't do it until they know how the family is going money wise. They could be multi millionaires. Even when the AFL look to do the right things we can seem to find fault. I think the AFL community as a whole have been fantastic over the last 3 days. Our local club wore black armbands and had a minutes silence this week. Im sure many other clubs have as well.

It is called respect.
See how you go singing the song, I'm sure people wouldn't appreciate it. Do you want to make us out to be the same sort of disrespectful supporters as
those rugby league fans. Perhaps listen to the announcements today to see what you are expected to do

I don't even know why he cares. He is in Bali. He can sing as loud as he likes over there. Those like you and me that are going to the footy can do the right thing whatever that may be.

Re: If we win...how do the non-tankers celebrate?
Oh FFS supporters singing the song is totally different to morons at rugby making noise at a minutes silence. Clearly you don't get that. I'm all for the minutes silence. That's appropriate. If they think it's necessary to ban he club song being played then so be it. Not a huge issue. But to stop fans celebrating AFTER a win is plain stupid IMO.mullet wrote:It started Friday night and will finish after our game this afternoon.saintspremiers wrote:Ok you can do that but where does it start and end?Bunk_Moreland wrote:Maybe show a bit of respect to Phil Walsh and do what the AFL ask and not play or sing the theme song.
