Poll - Do you want us to beat Essendon?
Simple question. If you're torn then don't answer.

you forgot the other option - a draw.kosifantutti wrote:Simple question. If you're torn then don't answer.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

If we only win one more game this year, please let iit be this one. Then North in Hobart for the Tassie Sainters.

Smash em by 100 !
carn't believe someone would want us to lose .
Finishing last doesn't guarantee you a champion player .
Just look at all those Melbourne and Carlton duds !

All those calling for Hird's dismissal must want us to win. Why not wish for both!

More likely intelligent drafting.dragit wrote:What helps us play finals in 3 years? Probably a loss realistically.

But that would mean that every week for the rest of the year you will be wanting us to lose unless of course we cant go up or down late in the season. Im unsure losing the last 11 games helps us anywhere but draft time. Im also unsure it makes players from other clubs excited about joining us even if offered big money.

I can see positives to a win or a loss.plugger66 wrote:dragit wrote:What helps us play finals in 3 years? Probably a loss realistically.

Watching us I want to win, but as soon as I've cooled down from the match, if we can't make the finals then I just want the best players possible to help us challenge again
Couldn't think of anything worse than spending 10 years winning 8-10 games and finishing 9th without bringing in elite mids that we are very thin on.

Does it? Hodge & franklin seem to be okay after losing most of their early games.saintspremiers wrote:It also mentally hinders our boys development ala the Deesplugger66 wrote:dragit wrote:What helps us play finals in 3 years? Probably a loss realistically.

Yes I agree. Im not sure about that but im also not sure finishing near the bottom 3 years in a row means you eventually go up the ladder to a position on winning or getting a chance to win a flag. Having said that losing our last 11 wouldn't help anyone except the recruiters. Even then there is still luck involved. Id rather just win as many as we possibly can.

Re: Poll - Do you want us to beat Essendon?
Just think - if we'd won those three close losses we be sitting in the eight just one win from fourth spot.
wouldn't that be simply terrible. why are we in this situation? why give ourselves a chance to finish top four? madness!

Hodge played in more wins than losses in his first two seasons.dragit wrote:Does it? Franklin played finals in his third year.

Re: Poll - Do you want us to beat Essendon?
Seriously, I don't care how many games we win this year...as long we we win this one. After the loss in Rd 5 and all of Hird's "woe is me" garbage last week- and, let's be honest, every other week before that- I want to THRASH THEM. Would love to be the team that gets Hirdy sacked...(though I doubt they'll actually have the balls to sack him).

Hope the Bombers win, I think they have been through enough.
