Some data re ruptured patella tendon: a less common injury so less data available, and likely for him a greater risk given he has had previous surgery for tendonitis, but it seems most players (NFL and NBA) known to have the injury and who have had seasonal data on their output recorded get back to their previous standard.

First round picks are usually pretty certain, the gems are in the lower picks. Club is really ultra professional at the moment. You'd be proud. Let's hope it pays off and we get that little luck that you have to get.

Generally I agree with this. Relying on other clubs players is a fools paradise. Judge each player on his merits and the draft is always your best option (Jack Steven pick 40 something?). On the other hand Roberton fell in our lap and Bruuuuuuuuuce came relatively cheap. Just keep your wits about you just in case.

Good post. Any tom, dick and harry can get the top 10 picks right - getting the 2nd and 3rd rounders sorts out the sides and shoes why Elshaugh is so much better than Peake. (Montagna, Steven, Fisher) Webster, Ross, Lonie, D-Mac, Acres etc are the blokes that lift us from being ordinary to contenders.

All clubs are professional though. Bit of luck involved. Same recruiters didn't do much in 2012. Anyway we should be looking at any way of getting nre players. Don't buy this own players crap. Look at the hawks. They recruit from other clubs all the time.

And it's not hindsight either. A fair number on here wanted the club to do some or all of the above.
