That loss brings us one step closer to obtaining Darcy Parish

What idiot would ever suggest a loss would damage the long term prospects of the club. What could damage the club though is losing our last 11 games. Can I ask those who know, how has this parish savour been going in the under 18 championships? I hope the club have more than him on our list.

Parish isn't our saviour however he has the talent to be an important piece to our puzzle. He's had a few injuries throughout the champs and struggled for consistency however has shown in a few games why he;s so highly regarded. We've been all over the kid for a few years now, hope we get him.

I was angry that we lost because we should have won. After I had calmed down though I realized it was the perfect loss (for where we are at right now). We were competitive and no injuries. Earlier in the year I was hoping for 6 wins and a % of around 80. So far so good. My other 2 wishes are that Carlton keep winning so they don't get pick 1, 2, or 3 and that Essendon stay above us. I want the best possible pick come November to be used on an elite goal kicking inside midfielder.

I forgot to mention that 'NO', this loss did not damage our long term prospects at all.

I was disappointed last night, but now I am actually happy we didn't win.

We matched them again, that's enough.

Still gotta get that high end talent in, much prefer pick 4 than pick 6 or 7.

Exactly my point...well said dragit. I am assuming we will be able to get Parish with pick 4 but would more than likely miss out if we have pick 6 or 7?

All this pants wetting over Parish will come to nothing if we trade our first pick, or we use it on a tall.

I didn't vote. I couldn't work out if "health 'n sanity" meant health and sanity or health insanity.

I was happy with the effort but disappointed with the result.

I doubt that we'll get Darcy Parish.

Surely that can't be correct Dragit. Haven't we had thread after thread stating the exact opposite. Surely the win was more important. They should get flogged this week.
