Great effort from the guys.

Should have killed the doggers

But for the turnovers and gifts to them

Need better ball users - look at the Hawthorn approach

Billings will help next week

Our first draft pick this year must be an elite mid with elite kicking skills

not just the usual suspects tonight . . . Steven & Gilbo & Farren et al, but many others . . . and all night.

On a dry ground, and windless under a roof.

Marks taken from opposition kicks:

Saints - 9
Bulldogs - 19

We kicked it to them 19 times.

Gilbert has to be traded, even if we only get a 3rd round its time for he to go!

Having said that we allowed the Bulldogs to put pressure on our defence tonight! Our defence in the main dont have the ability to play at full pace and when they do like Gilbert they turn it over. I wonder if Delaney has ever been told to back himself in and go for his contested marks.

Gilbert and Delaney need to be replaced for us to improve! Would rather see Lee and Goddard play at least they both hit a target by foot !

o yeh so who would have shut down Boyd and string... or didnt you notice stringer did noting... easy to focus on the bad and ignore the good... stringer kicked a bad last week ]

Gilbo made three shockers but did a lot of good inc helping ruin stringers night.. so we lost by 1 goal think about if stinger had kicked 5 a close loss is now 6 goals.

Sorry but I disagree. Our turnovers gifted them the game. Three senior players had 10 - 12 shockers between them. It really is disappointing.

Without a doubt. We handed that game to the bulldogs. Shattering for the young kids who played their roles.

At least our endeavour was fantastic tonight.

Better disposal will come with confidence and experience as this side matures
Plus a few of the worst turnovers came from veterans who won't make it into our coming golden era - it's coming!

Even saw the skipper do it. Yep. We need quality ball users under pressure.

You can carry a couple of turnover kings if they are great contributors in other areas, but there is a limit to how many spuds you can have before it catches up with you.

A disappointing and frustrating loss, but one I half expected. Let's hope we learn something from it

Problem was some of our turnovers were under no pressure :(

I see that game as another vital learning experience for our youngsters - disappointing that we lost but they will be better for it
