Firstly Bruce hadn't played much as a forward, butin the backline from memory.
Secondly Lee and Membrey arent any good as the first or second forward.
Thirdly our midfield is covered when it comes to tackling/big bodied mids, we need pace.
Last of all Mids come and go with ease, big key forwards are hard to come by. I'd love to re-visit this post in 5 years times and see if you still think we should've taken Brayshaw over McCartin

Though if you are not a Tanker (Blessed Be Thy Game)....then I think the sentiment at the time was that all three players at the top were potentially very good. Most ranked McCartin or Petracca as No1, though some liked Brayshaw. I was plumping for Petracca.

Last year it was probably not a bad year to have picks 2 or 3.
