Many thanks
Wasn't it an exciting win Teffers. Certainly beats last weeks loss. Hopefully we can get over the line next game as well.
How bout young Hogans 5 goals.....not bad for a top draft pick reckon the kid can play a bit...
Shame our No 1 draft pick is 32......but thems the breaks
I didnt catch the final score did we win?
All good for a good Sunday night hey Pluggs?
How about their No.1 pick Jack Watts.
useless spud of a bust.
Could get one @ 1 and Melbourne did.
too bad you couldn't enjoy an exciting win.
The Saints fanes at the game were overjoyed.
why couldnt I enjoy an exciting win? How odd...do like the look of Hogan though...super star for next decade...reckon we'll get him FA?
Im confused....where has anyone ever stated they dont enjoy winning?
When your euphoria calms down, grab a spoon and give yourself a lobotomy ....just keep digging if you find nothing..
You are rude and insulting when you have been made a fool of.
Go and talk on a Melbourne forum if you want to talk about Hogan.
however I will say, Hogan was nothing compared to Bernie Vince, whom suprisingly enough was traded to Melbourne
Bad luck Teflon, maybe you will be happier in two weeks if the Bulldogs beat us.
As a true supporter I will be hoping for another Saints win. What will you and your mate CityWest be doing? Oh thats right barracking against a Saints win.
WOW your on your high horse (or off your meds)
Look I dont see why you dont enjoy the win like all us Saints fans instead of limping over here to start a shyte war?
But I'll play, Im just saying it makes little sense
you are truly an insulting person when you are under pressure. Obviously haven't the intellect to argue a sensible position.
Oh well everyone can see you are struggle.
Enjoy
Yes, clearly under pressure....Ive been under pressure here for years now...
what are you 10?
anyway, go have a bex and a good lie down and enjoy the win.
personally , i cant see how any true supporter could still have been on a couch with 20 seconds to go.
i'd been pacing around the upper deck of the Caffe * like a madwoman at bathtime
for most of the quarter already.
* and no , not the China Cafe.
No need to worry everyone ,
Plenty of losses just around the corner.
... running out of legs in the 2nd half of the season will see to that.
All good.
Too right, have a good look at our last 6 matches.
Exciting win hey gaz.
Anyone with any brains can see that we are a bottom 4 or 5 team. To actively want the team to lose is completely different though.

Great Sunday night. We won a game in the last 20 seconds. Maybe you should show more interest in the game. If you did you would have seen Lonie at about pick 50 was also very good. I noticed Fyffe was also best again. But that just proves your point. He must have been a pick one or at least a top 3 pick.
Thought our No.1 pick was turning 19 and kicked three against Port yesterday.
Our No. 37 pick won the game for us tonight.
Fyfe was pick 20 BTW, near our second pick from last season
So what your now saying is pick 20 is better than 1?
ok....
I reckon Parish wont care either way who won tonight....do you?
You obviously dont have the capacity to understand a basic concept. Just stay with your simplistic and totally discredited theory, you seem not to be able to handle anything.
Real supporters will enjoy a Saints win.
You clearly dont deal in fact
Where have I ever states I dont enjoy a win? please produce the post.
As Ron Barrassi once famously said.....'you show me the post....and I'll shut up!'
I think that was it..

Wanting to lose to get higher draft picks is like wanting your wife to lose her job so that she will turn to prostitution so that you get more money.
I wish.
Can I ask a serious question. What did you want to happen in the last minute?
When Dees hit the front, I was Gold Coast dreaming December 2015!
Wasn't everyone?
But I left the ground a defeated man.
Anyway, that's what a certain vile and obnoxious poster suggested how I should feel if we won!
you must be torn Pav
just enjoy the win
I never worry bout vile, sanctimonious, self- righteous, deluded fwits on a footy website......
Infact when leaving the ground I never give footy websites a thought....Im too busy enjoying the win!
I think it was a hammy when I leapt up after Joey's goal.
Kosi wins the thread with this one. A shame it didn't end on this high note.
Surely by now you know how SS works?
A win will bring out the 'we were right all along...' flagelators... but its all fun why does a thread need a happy ending...it aint Thailand..
People are happy after a win and so they should have a right to be, let them have a good Sunday night..
Yep, I know we're you're coming from. Absolutely no objections about everyone having a good Sunday night. It's terrific that all the faithful will wake up on Monday morning bright eyed and bushy tailed after the win. With the exception of those who wanted us to lose, of course. I have no idea what planet they are originally from. It must a very dystopian place at that.
Curb your enthusiasm - you’re a St.Kilda supporter!!
I loved yesterday's win and was cheering the team on in the last minute but I reckon that win cost us the rights to Darcy Parish who will be an absolute jet. He's like a disciplined Andrew Lovett that racks up plenty of ball and has a hard edge to his game. Lovett / Sloane combination.

Of course you can ask me a serious question but surely by now you'd would know that the seriousness of my responses are minimal.
having said that I think you know the answer to your question.
when the euphoria dissipates back to the cold hard reality of possibly a lower pick. I know (the cake and eat it syndrome)
I have no idea that's why I asked it. You have made it clear you want the best picks in the draft. We are now a game and percentage clear of Melbourne because we won and that may mean a pick that wont be as good as it could be. That is where those wanting the best draft picks make it hard for others to understand their position.

It's weird here on saintsational that the majority cannot understand some supporters having an interest in the draft and getting the most talented kids in the country onto our list. And it's not as simple as draft vs winning. You can support the team but resign yourself to getting a good draft choice when we lose. It's a different culture and perspective on here compared to the Twitter, Facebook, bigfooty Saints community. It's very IS / extremist on here!
its only extremist in that people dont value others opinions
if someone wants to not win too many matches to be sitting in a better position when it comes to draft choice then i dont see the prob
of course 99% of people want a win
but 99% of people also wont the best choice come draft time
the win was great
did it cost us a better pick, well we wont know
theres been that many duds go top 5 it isnt funny, along with that, how many guns have been picked up in the later teens and twenties picks?
we could finish a couple places higher on the ladder yet
at least half of the games left could be wins...if not more
SaintPav wrote:I can't see us winning more than 6 games with our best chances being against Essendon, the Dees and maybe the Floggies.
There's also a chance that this will be our last win of the season.
Essendon are done we will beat them comfortably. Actually, I struggle to see Ess winning more games from here. Melb will be tough and next time it's at the 'G'. The Dogs should beat us....We could snag a win over someone like Rich...or Freo again!
Realistically, six wins is about right. I think we can climb one more position on the ladder or potentially drop down one. Safe from bottom three....best case 13th position. In draft terms pick 4-6 is likely.

Would it be right in saying that those players picked later in the draft that have succeeded were brought into strong football environments and those high picks that failed the opposite? It's a generalisation and not a full proof rule, with injuries, behaviour issues, etc also playing their part. Some recruiters just get things right and some players (Fyfe) are freaks.

There is no problem with that at all but you are either failing to read what others are saying or you just aren't getting it. If people say its better to lose then they aren't supporting the saints. I want us to win our last 11 games. I know we may only win two or three and thus get a good draft pick. Im not worried about Parish yet. Its 6 months away. Anything can happen in that time. Im sure if asked you every Friday if you want to win this week you would say yes but then say if we lose we get a good pick. That's fine. That's how most think but there are some wanting to lose to get the best draft pick possible. I don't get it and will never get it. May as well fast forward your footy life until you think we have enough high draft picks.

I think you are either failing to read what others are saying or you just aren't getting it Plugger. Some want better picks for a better Team for future success how is that not supporting the Saints ?? So it's your way or the highway ?
