Half time sandy 8.6 to port 7.4 McCartin and Goddard two goals each. Holmes is destroying them in the ruck, markworth and sippa worked into the game that qtr Markworth with a goal. Lee continues to impress as a defender. Goddard looks like a natural forward, aggressive, hits packs hard gets to the right spots, he is a beauty

Love how d mc takes the game on. Cockie is an animal love the way he plays. Eli starting to have an influence on ball and holmes after some adjustment has made some great taps to advantage

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: VFL Rd 9 Sandringham Vs Port melbourne
3/4 time Port got out to lead , Zebs fought back to lead and Port came back again
TDL , Sippos and Markworth all have goals on return
Some slowing by young guys as game wears on
Need to hold firm and come again in last

Agreement with the VFL is that they must visit all grounds and cover all teams.bigballs wrote:Disappointed this game isn't on telly, instead they're showing Geelong vs North Ballarat, who are 2nd and 3rd bottom.
Channel 7 really need to sort out which games to broadcast by looking at the ladder positions of both teams before announcing which game to televise.
Surely 5th (Sandringham) vs 6th (Port) would have been a better choice.
If they get the also-rans out of the way in the first half of the season, they can concentrate on the upper-levels in the second.

That would be twice in 2 games if it's true. Has kicked 3. Sounds like a cracking game on twitter.saintjake wrote:96-96

Sandy home by 7 points. Saad had an enormous last qtr. McCartin went off with another gash in the head and wobbly on the legs.

Re: VFL Rd 9 Sandringham Vs Port melbourne
Great game of footy, good skills and pretty tough.
The combination of Goddard and McCartin worked really well I think they kicked 7.4 between them. Dmac was great, can't believe he isn't in the seniors. Eli was good, ran hard and usually used it well. Wright was creative off half back, lee did really well on Sandilands, generally beat him in one on one contests. Saad almost won the game off his own boot in the last qtr. he kicked 2.1 and gave one away, he chased tackled and worked his arse off. Holmes was great, probably one of his best games. Dominated hit outs, but also got quite a few disposals.
Markworth got better and better as the game went on. He is super quick and uses the ball well. Sippa was ok, just shanks so many kicks because he tries to kick the crap out it every time. He kicked a lucky goal in the 3rd when he has TDL 20 metres clear in the goal square but completely shanked the kick, it dribbled right through the middle. When he came to the bench he apologised and said he went for the pass!
For those who follow Sandy, Mitch brown was brilliant again, he had 23 possessions to 3/4 time playing wing/half forward. Elliot Le grice was unbeatable across the backline and jones and cockie were so hard at it in the middle
