No thanks. Easy to look good in a great side. Blake will be a very good player for us, when we are at the pointy end.SMS wrote:Hartung over acres?? Should we have done that??

Disposal Efficiencymad saint guy wrote:A team containing all of Geary, Ray, Dempster, Delaney, Shenton and Longer is always going to be killed by turnovers. You can carry 2-3 guys who can't kick if their defensive ability/leadership warrants it, but we've just got way too many in the team today.Devilhead wrote:350 possessions to 305 in our favour
Just shows you how efficient they are
Turnovers again have killed us and its amazing how much space they find
At least we are going to keep it under 100 pt margin
Geary - 83%
Ray - 79%
Dempster - 100%
Delaney - 73%
Shenton - 86%
Longer - 87%
Our overall disposal efficiency was 79%
Unfortunately whenever we turned it over they punished us hard
406 to 355 disposals in the end - our way
Frees - 19 to 10 - their way
10 free kicks for the whole game - thats 2 and a quarter per quarter

Smashed out of the middle. Time to give Hickey a go. I'm not sure we're doing him any favors the way we're playing him atm.

Reckon Acres is a much better footballer, he did a couple of polished things toward the end of the matchSMS wrote:Hartung over acres?? Should we have done that??

Agree. Longer has gone backwards after the Blues game. Can hardly touch it around the ground or put pressure on. So opposition is always one up in the midfield.8856brother wrote:Smashed out of the middle. Time to give Hickey a go. I'm not sure we're doing him any favors the way we're playing him atm.

You can get them from a number of places.Teflon wrote:If only we had access to a few more A Grade mids from somewhere....but where?.......I just dont know how we'll get em.......!
Tell me how do we get more A grade midfielders through the draft in the last couple of years?
because you cant get them mid season.
We got rid of Dal, Goddard, and McEvoy and traded Stanley. We mainly got mids from those trades.
We picked McCartin " No.1 last year and Billing " No.3 the year before.
So tell us how do we suddenly pick up these A grade mids. Oh thats right by having a culture of losing and tanking and hoping that a mid you pick @ 3 will be better than a pick @5 in about three years time.
The ONLY way of picking up a known and guaranteed A grade mid is through FA.North got Dal Santo, Essendon got bj, we need to get a Sloane or Dangerfield or a Treloar or Sheil. They are already A grade mids and we dont have to wait for some short sighted mythical promised land in about 2019.
But you must have been wrapt to see the team thumped by ten goals tonight, I mean you dont want the Saints to win, you want us to tank.
Will you have your Melbourne scarf on next week?
You are garbage - Enough said
