Changes for next week
Ins to come from Membrey, Ray, Savage, Curren, Minch, Lee, Gilbert, Ross, Goddard
Def out Weller
Poss outs Shenton, Hickey, Schneider, Dunston if sore
Tough again - that's a good set of ins playing for Sandy

Re: Changes for next week
Weller out Ross in
Gilbo could probably do another vfl run. But could be handy on one of the hawks tall fwds.
If Ross comes in does that mean Sinclair goes back to rookie?, if so Sav mat take his spot.
Could Lee handle Roughy?

Re: Changes for next week
The Lee just has to come in unless they want to give Goddard a go. We are just too small down back. You would presume Gilbert plays for sandy again.longtimesaint wrote:Fisher not back until after the bye.FQF wrote:No chance Fisher will be back? Hawks forwards might stretch us.
Re: Changes for next week
Yep we can't afford to go in undersized in defence - Lee or Goddard have to get a run.
Hickey's spot looking vulnerable in my view, apart from a poor showing he had tightness which saw him subbed.

Re: Changes for next week
Surely Lee comes in given we're too short at the back. Shenton presumably the odd man out.
Weller's replacement has to be Curren, he's been in the best three of the last four weeks in the VFL and was BOG this week.
Ross would only get a run this week if Dunstan failed to come up, though I wonder if Sinclair is close to a run in the twos given he was sub this week.

No, Saad went back for Seb.

Re: Changes for next week
You'd think Lee would be some sort of chance. He's reportedly done everything right since being switched to defence and having his first extended injury-free run. Then again it's harder to break into a winning side
Re: Changes for next week
Out: Weller, McKenzie (if injured)
In: Ross, Lee/Goddard (if DMac unfit)
Lee/Goddard to come in as we are lacking height in our backline.
Likely defensive matchups:
Delaney vs Roughead
Dempster vs Gunston
Lee/Goddard vs Hale
Geary vs Breust

You'd have to think he's back - tough team to get into.SainterK wrote:Savage?
Re: Changes for next week
Shenton was pretty good this week, but Savage provides more offensively and they are probably on par defensively. Horses for courses...
Looks like Hugh or Lee have to come in. Hugh might have an advantage with his extra size to play on Hale, but it would be a very tough first assignment.
Left field: Simpkin to cover Gunston? I worry that Dempster doesn't have the closing speed.

I actually think you would put Mc Kenzie out for Savage, he's been fantastic but Shenton gets a a lot more of the ball ATM. Mav will open one spot up and Hickey seemed to hurt a knee. Dustan might not come up too.

Tony said he had a very sore knee, but not serious. His ongoing issue I'd suggest.SainterK wrote:Was hickey injured?

Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell
Re: Changes for next week
I didn't see much of the game, it did appear Hickey got us out of trouble down the line a few times early. While not taking grands and getting stats. the ability to get the ball to the ground at worst when there's a rushed kick forward can't go underestimated. If injured then yeah, rest him, but if available - Game sinto oyoung ruckmen are invaluable.

Re: Changes for next week
Interstate win in the AFL and a win over the top side in the VFL.
Must be happy times at the club this week. We must have one of the best injury lists in the comp (touch wood). Kudos again to Bas and the fitness staff.

Re: Changes for next week
Weller Longer out. Hickey to ruck so at least he stops the other ruckman getting best for the opposition. In membery and Curren. probably need a tall down back so maybe Shenton out or McKenzie. That's what I want to happen but I think Longer will still play. Feel for Hickey. Being asked to play a spot that isn't very natural for him.

Re: Changes for next week
In: Goddard, Curren, minchi
Out: Mckenzie, Weller, Dunstan (he'd have to be bloody sore, but if they can needle it and numb it silly, might not be an issue)
Sinclair to come in to starting side if Dunstan is out with Minchi as the sub.

Because like one or others they wont admit wrong. They would rather look like they know nothing about the game than say Schneider has proven them wrong.
