No White, no Saad. Neither injured. They must be a bit tired.

Perhaps White has been given some time off to get his head right and come back and show that he wants an AFL career?

Who knows. Maybe he is actually injured. Saad is also missing. Doubt that's about his head getting right.

Might be a little pre-planned, following on from Paddy and Hugh having the week off recently. Obviously Spence and Saad aren't first years but might need a break nonetheless?

Neither Saad nor Spencer appear part of our future so probably doesn't matterthequarry wrote:Might be a little pre-planned, following on from Paddy and Hugh having the week off recently. Obviously Spence and Saad aren't first years but might need a break nonetheless?

It's bloody windy here at Sandy.
Howling North westerly.
Will make goal kicking difficult but also the possibility of some monsters at the Sautner end!

Quarter time 4.2 vs 4.4 Werribee.
McCarten taken off with nice old gash on the top of the head and looking a little dazed.
Gilbert playing.
Majak Daw three goals already ( I think)

He is now.
Sandringham 7.5 47 Werribee 4.7 31
Not much else to say.
No sign of McCarten.
And Tim Membery is playing.
Goddardis impressive my own view about Seb Ross is he has work harder on the follow up of kicking and working his way through the packs.

Re: VFL Rd 7 Sandringham Vs Tigers
Half time Sandy by 16 points. Cold and very windy, Daws killed us in the first qtr but didn't get much of it in the second.
best saints players are TC, Lee, Ross, Holmes.
Gilbo looking good running off half back, Goddard was better that qtr after getting touched up in the first. Saunders has a couple of goals, Ray has been ok without standing out. Membrey does some nice things but then will drop a simple chest mark. He is working hard up and down the field. Minchington been ok
Mccartin gone before qtr time with pretty big gash on the top of his head.

Paddy, bad concussion and head full of stitches. Done for the day and most likely next week.

Re: VFL Rd 7 Sandringham Vs Tigers
Three quarter time 9.8 62 Sandy 6.11 47.
Good quarter from Curran.
According to the stalwarts around the old Can Hill, you never play the Beach Road side because of the wind and which of course seemed to happen a lot. Then they switched to the beach side of the oval and started to deliver the ball into the forward be a lot better.
Someone else will have to deliver the final score, too cold for me.......

83-60 Zebras leading. Saunders, Curran, Ray, Ross all playing well. Murdoch not fit.

Re: VFL Rd 7 Sandringham Vs Tigers
Sandy kicked away in the last quarter to win by 40 points. The two most influential players on the ground were TC and Saunders. They kicked 7 or 8 goals between them and got a heap of the ball, Saunders kicked a ripper in the last when he intercepted a handball in the centre of the ground and then took off, he is super quick took 3 bounces and burnt off too opposition players before kicking the goal.
Lee played a great game at full back, he played most of the game on Currie who is a monster at 200cm and 110kg, last week Currie kicked 5 and had over 20 disposals, today he took maybe one or two contested marks in the forward50 and I don't think he kicked a goal. Lee used his body really well to push currie out of position and then when he got the ball his kicking is first class.
Gilbert got through the game well and looked better and better as the game wore on. Ross and minchington were both good after half time.
Goddard was brilliant after qtr time, he must've taken 6 or 7 really strong contested marks and his disposal was really good.
Nathan Wright dominated across half back after half time he was aggressive and mopped up the loose ball, what wa really pleasing was his disposal, he hit targets in really difficult conditions.
Holmes was the best ruck man on the ground, his tap work was a stand out but he also go a bit of the ball.
Ray was serviceable without dominating
All in all it was a great win against an unbeaten team.
