Changes for this week against the Lions
In: Delaney, Rooey, Geary, Lonie
Out: Fisher(Inj), Longer, Shenton, Templeton
Would love to see Tommy Lee and Hughy Goddard come in to, but for who i'm not sure, maybe if Webster doesn't recover I'd say Tom Lee.
Dunstan is very close to being dropped aswell, if not now.

Re: Changes for this week against the Lions
TOM LEE must play.
RICHO needs to tell him ''ok lee we need kpp defenders, youve proven yourself at VFL, you have a MONTH to show me what you got at AFL level."
Give the boy a month and lets find out if we keep him ad a key defender.
Say the same to MINCHINGTON. Cept as a small forward.

None of them giving a month thing. let him show what he has and if he is good enough he keeps his spot, if he isn't he is dropped like they should be.

Re: Changes for this week against the Lions
What is the Delaney injury situation?
Does anyone know?
I am assuming Fisher will be at least 4 weeks.

Re: Changes for this week against the Lions
Lee for fish seems natural for mine. Then can reshuffle the backline if needs be.
Roo and Delaney should be both back in - I'd say roo for membrey (but unlucky but who else?) and Delaney for someone just not sure. Don't think Eli holds his spot but team balance may mean a straight swap for either roo or Delaney doesn't suit.
Tough one but there are some good ins with Ross looking like he is only a week away as well

To expect someone to play their best and up the speed to AFL IN AN INSTANT as a KPP is wrong. Give him a month.
Take away a little but if the anxiety and give him confidence of being s team member
Its only a month. We need to find out once and for all.

Yep and when he gets a bag kicked on him everyone will want him dropped and there will be calls of Richo being sacked. If he play he should play because his form means he deserves a game.

What is their current playing stocks like? They have injuries to their key forwards, do they not?

In: Riewoldt, Delaney, Lonie, Lee
Out: Longer, Fisher, Templeton, Webster
Ray & Ross could potentially replace Shenton & Dunstan too.
Hickey to play as the ruck.
Minchington didn't make the best in the VFL which is a shame, he needs to stay in the best to break into the seniors.

I like it but would probably be Shenton out for Geary. Webster out might mean Ray though. I think Ross has missed too much footy to walk straight in after 1 game of VFL. Maybe Longer should play against the old team, it usually fires players up. Send Hickster back to Sandy.

Bloody harsh on Hickey when Longer has struggled for about the last 4 weeks. If one has to go then surely its Longer.

Re: Changes for this week against the Lions
Hickey looked very proppy to me when he was walking off the oval at the end of the game. There was a fleeting vision of him favouring one leg whilst walking off in the background as the commentator was interviewing an Eagles player. At the time I thought, Oh! O I hope he hasn't had his foot or leg injury flare up again. Then again, maybe & hopefully he was just sore and dispirited after a loss.

Longer plays.
Out : Templeton, Fisher, Hickey, Shenton
In : Lonie, Goddard, Roo, Ray

I would be interested in your reasons why Longer is ahead of Hickey baring injury of course.

Re: Changes for this week against the Lions
All the players need to be shown that a month if really good footy at Sandy gets you a spot with the big boys. If Lee doesn't get a game I'll be very disapponted in our 'development' structure indeed.

Not convinced Delaney will play either.
Think Hickey could easily be dropped and Membrey retained but think they will persist.
Membrey is stiff to lose his spot.

Re: Changes for this week against the Lions
Hickey hasn't had much of a run in the middle and Longer would be going back where he will want to put on a good show. I think Longer is pretty high up in the hit out count anyway so I would give him another week. We might leave in two with Martin and Leuenberger both first rate rucks.plugger66 wrote:gringo wrote:dragit wrote:In: Riewoldt, Delaney, Lonie, Lee

Re: Changes for this week against the Lions
Rightly or wrong I think Longer is seen as the first choice Ruck, therefore he plays and Hickey makes way for Roo as I think the experiment with 3 talls needs re-assessing. There was no pressure in the fwd half on the weekend so we need those who can chase an harass. That's the reason Membrey stays and Hickey goes out.plugger66 wrote:Kernal75 wrote:Longer plays.

Re: Changes for this week against the Lions
Longer has been good, but not great.
Will Hickey get a turn as #1 ruck?
Hope so.
Membrey gets to stay in and develop if we go with just one ruck.

Re: Changes for this week against the Lions
If we go with one ruck who relieves when the sole ruckman needs a break? I wouldn't be in favour of using Bruce given how good he's been up forward.

Re: Changes for this week against the Lions
People here just throwing up names without having any idea or having seen them play.
Hugh will not play this week, he's still learning how to position himself.
Ray is not physically ready yet.
Ditto Seb, but he's ahead of Faz.
Nobody screaming for Spencer this week?
Tommy Lee must play, but not as sub!
