Hickey & Longer combine for 9 disposals, 1 mark and no score, while we have been slaughtered in the ruck. It only works if Hickey is genuinely contributing as a forward.

I can't see the game, but what's our kicking in strategy? At the moment, all their behinds seem to be worth 7pts. Someone said before (when we got back into the game) that Savage was too fast for their forward press, is that still the case?

Well all things considered we didnt too bad. Cant knock our effort. Just lack polish under pressure and we were two men down most of the match. Could have been much worse.

Backline is decimated. Dempster isn't a key back neither is Fisher. Delaney has to come in and maybe it's time to blood Goddard.

Hickey supposedly has massive hands. Needs to hold more marks. The Eagles have some massive units.

Nic Nat did nothing. It was their mids that dominated out of the centre. Shuey Priddis Gaff and Yeo who will get rubbed out.

Every time Membrey gets near the footy I see good things. He needs more opportunity. We need to look for him on the lead more often. He's hard at it, loves the contest and wins the loose ball at times. He's dropped some marks from time to time but I think we need to get more games into him and the Bruce/Membrey combo can work.

We lost two defenders, so it chucked the balance out. Shocking defensive work by the midfield, and Richo needs to put his thinking cap on about it. I recon old granny could have cleared the ball from the centre against us today.

We need to play Sinclair and Acres every week. Both are keepers. Eli is not AFL standard at this stage.

Happy with effort, the skills just weren't there to reward the effort.

Looked like some confusion in game plan too, bombing into 50 and no one home so someone was on the wrong page.

Yep Fisher and Webster - 2 of our best 3 defenders - makes it hard in the backline especially when they are winning centre clearances with such ease

Great fightback in the 2nd quarter and a really good first half of the 3rd quarter but we have been smashed for the rest of the game - some extremely dubious umpiring has not helped

I wonder why you'd play Templeton ahead of Curren? Arent we supposed to be selecting on performance? I just dont see it

Naitanui had way more disposals marks and hitouts than our 2 ruckmen combined.

Definitely not sold on Natinui. Think he's rated on potential and not what he does. 6 marks for the year says it all.

But he got frees just for contesting the ball. He must be so good they can't go near him.

Eli was the big cult hero last year, has he just been found out? 2nd year blues? Being played out of position? I bet he wants to grow those dreadies back now! He and Dunstan can't be enjoying their 2nd year much, after being lauded and awarded low jumper numbers of Plugger and Winmar/Hayes respectively.

Let's hope they can both get their mojo back soonish.

I think Lee might get a game now, Fisher looked hamstrung.

Lee needs to dominate tomorrow to get in. I think this year is going fine. You can see the game plan coming together.
